In the year 1467 the Onin War took place, plunging Japan into chaos and confusion. The capital city, Kyoto, is left to ruin and wars have ravaged Japan for the next 150 years. Every day a lord is betrayed by his loyal men, who would soon take his place. Yesterday’s friends are now today’s enemies. These are tense times, where nobody can let their guard down. Set in this backdrop, you have been appointed the chief of a village and tasked with its growth. From a humble beginning of just your companion and yourself. Slowly, you gain more friends and family, and become an icon. Now Sengoku Village – one that represents the whole of Japan. Will you be able to defeat the warlords Oda, Tokugawa, Takeda, Uesugi, Hojo, Shimazu, Date, and Sanada, and aim for the unification of Japan? Sengoku Village 2 now lets you choose a region in Japan to start the game. There are new weapons, and warlords are even more powerful! You can also buy and sell on the Item market. And now you can also explore the whole world! Don’t just unite Japan, aim to conquer the world! ■Rules of the game Select your favourite region in Japan, and as the leader of a village that bears your name, you will build and progress your village during the Warring-States Period. Grow rice in your rice fields and harvest them to collect Rice Points. The Rice Points can be used to build Castles, Housing and Rice Warehouses. It is your duty to gain more villagers and friends, and to expand the village. On the way, you will encounter foreign invaders and warlords who will attack your village. It’s important to purchase weapons and armour from merchants so that you can defend your village. Once your village grows large enough, it will become famous and messengers may arrive from the Emperor, Mainland China, or even Europe. The first villagers are your companion and yourself. From such humble beginnings, will you be able to survive through the Sengoku Period and unify Japan? ■How to play When the game starts, the Village Screen is shown. You will have 1 house at the start. Follow the tutorial and start harvesting rice. Once you have enough, build a Rice Warehouse. You can easily build buildings by tapping. With a Rice Warehouse you’ll be able to store unlimited rice, so save up Rice Points and purchase guns, armour, horses and other useful items from the merchant. Each house and terrace house allow up to 10 and 40 villages respectively. If you want to grow your village, you’ll need to build more houses. On the Harvest Screen, you can harvest rice from the fields. The rice will grow automatically. Fully grown rice can be collected by tapping or swiping. Harvested rice is turned into Rice Points and stored. If the rice is left alone for too long, they may die. Dead rice will not yield any Rice Points, so check on the fields frequently. You can also use Items to improve the yield or prevent the rice from dying. ■Subscription terms Your subscription will be charged through your iTunes account and automatically renews unless you turn it off in App Store account settings 24h before the end of the billing period.
