The only issue I have is my money is never the same. One day I’ll have this much and the next day it’ll be more or less. Funds will be taken out from previous, added back on and then taken back out. It can be frustrating but it’s also the same way on mobile. Other than that I was so ecstatic to find out there was a app! Makes things so much better and it’s simple to use. Also enjoy the Face ID option or the simple passcode. I am soooo ready for the check deposit feature in the future. You guys have no idea how much I hate going into the bank when I have to work. So this is probably the best thing I’ve heard all month. So thank you for that!!!

I am unable to setup the NCSECU Mobile App, version 2.0.4, for iPhone on iOS version 13.1.2 build 17A860, current public build. Attempting initial setup following all prompts, I enter a 5 digit passcode after receiving my verification text message. I then get an error stating the passcode I just created and re entered is incorrect. This error occurs whether Face ID is enabled or not. I have tried different passcodes, quitting the app after setup and then attempting to login. All attempts fail and present a passcode incorrect prompt. When attempting to authenticate via Face ID if enabled during setup, it will load indefinitely and present a spinning authentication icon but never authenticate. It is very frustrating to have this app not work on iOS for the last two to three months after multiple versions of the app stating they have resolved issues. Given the long development time of the app and the long lead times for develop with beta versions of iOS availed for developers it is unprofessional and downright beginner level from a top tier bank in NC. I update iOS upon new version release solely for security improvements provided. Not having this app work shows how little development time and resources NCSECU is willing to devote to a safe and secure way to manage and view financial resources when competitors had these features and benefits enabled, developed, and available for years.

I’ve been with SECU since I started banking at 18. 9 years later this is still my primary bank! For years I’ve been waiting for them to develop an app. That one faithfully morning when I was attempting to log onto the mobile site to view my DD and that notification popped up that said they had an app was one of the happiest days of my life. The app is so easy to use, convenient, the layout is great and it makes transfers and advances a breeze. What really sold me, I emailed customer service and thanked them for finally creating the app and let them know all it was missing was Face ID. They finally added that feature this week but what really sold me, customer service actually took the time to personally email me and tell me it was now available for use on the app. I was so touched. My children’s children’s children will bank with SECU when I tell them how much this bank has done for me. 5 stars!

I downloaded a whole app so when my account is charged or there is funds added, I would get some sort of notification NOPE. Not to mention Ive had to restart my account around 3 times. I only use it because I'm irresponsible and hate not knowing whats in my account and whats being taken in and out of it. Y'all voice response number takes forever so this is the most convenient, its just not consistent. The security checks are cool but once again they aren't consistent. Ive lost 3 cards to some form of hack or money not being where its supposed ti be so being able to see it makes this easier. But id really like a notification when theres any type if transaction i may be missing something but Ive done looked for alot. Hope you guys see my review.

Like so many others I am thrilled to see an App finally released. I have been planning to leave this bank solely based on the fact that there was not an app that would allow me to do banking simply and easily on the go. The reason for my disappointment is the lack of ability to deposit a check via the app. This is essential especially since this bank is closed on Saturday. Great job on the app design itself. It is aesthetically pleasing and simple enough to use without extra clutter. Ideally some of the content in the more section gets built out to keep you natively in the app rather than pushing you to a website. Congrats, I hope to see rapid development and enhancements.
