The Bank of Nova Scotia can do MUCH better. Imagine, I’ve not used the Scotia app since signing up for Digital Alerts. Whilst they do come in (thankfully), it needs much more in the way of work. 3D Touch, Apple Pay, TouchID, FaceID all exist.... Use them! Give us quick access to the things we need. You can’t simply ask clients to use digital platforms without really sitting down and developing a full fledged banking app for the 1.5 million customers you, Scotiabank, serve in the Caribbean. Also, given the work put into other Scotia jurisdictions like Canada, Peru, Chile & Mexico, we know you can do better so please, we’re begging. Make our business worth our while! To make it worse, this app uses OUTDATED technology that, given the right clicks, can lead you to a Facebook signup page... Do show some modicum of compassion and fix this digital tragedy!

I dislike some changes made to the new app. As a long time user, I was previously able to pay my employees using the third party transfer feature. Upon submitting the transfer, the confirmation note would display the amount transfer while not showing the balance remaining in my account. This way, I was able provide evidence to my employee of the amount that was transferred. Now all that is showing in the confirmation note is a vague note saying a transfer was done and showing the balance in MY account. This benefits no one and is quite frankly counter productive. Kindly adjust and put back this key feature. I do not need my employee to see how much is in my account but rather, how much I transferred. Thank you.

I have been using this app since blackberry days and this latest update is not the best. What I dislike about it especially is the bill pay screen. Initially when you have more than one payee for the same company the numbers would be displayed , now with this update only the company names are displayed . Please revert to showing the accounts number so that bills are paid to the right accounts rather than guessing which accounts to choose . We all know how near to impossible and teeth pulling it is to retrieve monies paid to wrong accounts by these cooperates companies . Thank you for listening/ looking at my complaints and making it better for me .

The Scotiabank Caribbean app is a handy tool for mobile banking. It appears that the app was not fully tested for full functionality, and I did not find an option to contact the developer from the App Store. After making a payment from the app, it is sometimes necessary to download a copy of the receipt for the transaction. Clicking on the download option besides the transaction results in the display of a white screen where the session ends. There is no option to go back unless you sign in again. If a receipt cannot be downloaded, then the option should be removed or fixed.

I’ve been using this app for 2 weeks now and I can simply say it’s the best yet I’ve came across. The app introduces real time notifications anytime you use your bank card to make purchases, this is an safety option in an likely event someone stole your card, you will get two notifications one from the app itself and one forward to your email. There’s so many more, so try it out today.
