Sapphire Global WiFi

The app doesn’t show the app percentage. Which is unfortunate because I would love to know how long I have to charge my device when the battery begin to flash. This is truly upsetting and I’m using the last of my battery life to create this message.

The app doesn’t reflect the actual connectivity. Their customer service is very poor and will only tell you to turn off and on your device again if it will not show internet connection. Often your mobile device will say connected but anything requiring internet will not work. They refuse to increase bandwidth within Kuwait service areas. This makes service unreliable and essentially a rip off if you are in that area. Do not invest in this service provider nor any of its devices, it’s not worth spending money only to have an unreliable internet connection.

Bought a sapphire 2 in Kuwait on my way to Afghanistan. It worked great at first, then things started happening. It does come preloaded with 1G Global plan. You can’t buy another one. Now 3 months into a deployment, and I’ve been contacting them every day to send a refresh command for the past 2 weeks. Now that’s not working. Worst part is they aren’t even trying to figure out what the problem is. Just looking for a band aid short term fix, and not addressing the problem.

Good internet service so far. I can check my usage on my iPhone. Only thing I am not clear is. If I don’t turn it off and not using internet does it still get used? So far perfect and simple

They now have a touch-screen Sapphire (at a higher price), so why get this app? Does it work with the new model?? Is it needed with the new model? Until Sapphire says the app is needed/helpful for the new model, don’t get this app. And if you already have a Sapphire ask them for a trade-in discount before buying the new touch-screen model.
