Ruzzle Adventure

This game is a lot of fun -- once you figure out the strategy for getting three stars almost every time. You really have to think about your moves. I would have given this five stars if it weren't for those miserable wells -- too stressful! At least please reduce the time allotted, Ruzzle-makers!! If the other boards weren't so much fun to solve, I might have deleted this game just because of the wells!

The game was good until level 4. Now it will not let me play level 4 or do anything. Once I got to level 4, it told me to click on the bomb booster to detonate everything. (Still in tutorial phases). The 4 booster icons pop up. It would obviously make sense that I need to click the bomb booster icon to proceed. Except the icons are all dark and do not allow me to choose them. I can’t exit out either. I can’t do anything. I have tried clicking every single space on the screen. I have clicked and held down. I have double clicked. I have tapped repeatedly. I have tried to swipe and move the booster towards the game screen. I have tried to completely exit and close the app, and then re-opened it. I have also tried on numerous different days. Nothing works. So I guess the game ended at level 3.

So, the first twenty or thirty levels are easy/possible, but then chaos erupts. The final island doesn't work at all. Some levels are incredibly easy, except that you're not awarded 3 stars for finishing well under the allotted number of moves, even if only long, high-pointage words are used. Sometimes you're given 3 stars when you only finish the level by the skin of your teeth. Many other times, the levels are impossible without using helps (bombs, rearranging the board, swapping letters). The trouble is, the company charges for extra helps, unless you win some with a daily wheel spin. I have never spent money on helps, so I've gone weeks without being able to advance to the next level. The app also badly needs an undo button for accidental touches. And why do you only get a limited number of lives? I like that there's usually no time limit and that there are more tiles than regular Ruzzle, but sometimes the letters are so random that there is no possible way to solve the board within the moves limit without using extensive cheats/helps. No response from using the customer support link in the app. several times over a few months.

At least the app is working now. I tried playing it about 6 months ago and it wouldn’t go past level 4, but now it does. The game is kind of fun, although extremely easy for me so far (I’m only on level 20 though). I don’t like that you can’t see the score you got previously (if you replay a level - there’s no way to tell if you beat your previous score or not), nor do any other players show up on the board. What’s the point of getting a score if it’s not recorded or there’s no competition? Anyway, we’ll see how it goes.

As of today's update the island that had vanished has reappeared and my points and stars are intact. I would still like to see a tab in game settings that would take you to the information you see on the website without having to independently go to the website. I would also like to see more information on things like what causes aliens to appear and disappear, and whether additional aliens will come along or not if a bomb has wiped some out.
