I had tried several qbanks and found one to be too easy, and the other too difficult. Rosh, however, was the most representative of the actual exam. I love their pictures and explanations in tutor mode. You can reset your exams to start back from the beginning. And there is a good amount of questions to help you. For me, doing tons of questions really helped me; you are prepared for the questions and you start to see the same questions over again (a good thing!) so you know what the question is asking pretty much. Don’t be worried too much by the scores. I consistently got in 60s percentages and occasionally above 70%, but still passed. Remember, just doing the questions you are learning at the same time! I didn’t even time myself but did 30 or 60 question blocks. Rosh questions put me at ease when the questions came up on the real exam. Also, if they had them when I was in school, I’d have bought the rotation pack of questions to help study for the EORs. No doubt, concentrate on questions. Reading and thinking you know the material doesn’t work for everyone (at least not me).

I used Rosh Review in the months leading up to the PANCE exam as a supplement. I loved that it had more difficult questions and it went into more depth with its explanations than the other test-prep materials. I also utilized the mobile app and took my questions on the go, using well over a thousand of their questions. I ended up doing better than expected on the exam, but most importantly I PASSED and feel that Rosh had a large part in that and my confidence leading up to test day. It’s been months since I took the exam and recently came across materials from Rosh - including my projected PANCE score - and the amazing thing is that the score they projected was the exact score I received! So I would highly recommend using Rosh to PA students, especially ones feeling nervous about testing!

I’ve been having issues with the app for the last two updates. I have had two sets of assigned questions that I completed that somehow did not register as completed and I ended up with zeroes on each. It’s annoying because prior to the last update I was able to do question sets on my phone. I don’t see any difference with the updates other than these issues, so I’m not really certain why they were necessary in the first place. I hope they fix it soon so I can go back to doing questions on my phone. Until then I’m stuck using a desktop or laptop for assigned sets. Also of note, The quality of the questions and answer explanations on Rosh Review has significantly decreased over the course of the past year and a half. For every 10 questions, there seems to be at least one or two that is either incorrect or has a terrible explanation that does not explain why their answers are incorrect. Hippo ED questions hand have been showing signs of improvement in quality and seem to be much better in my experience. If you have to buy the questions that I would suggest avoiding Rosh as it is excessively expensive for the quality you get.

During many years in academic medicine, I have sent dozens of residents to board review courses, attended several board review courses myself, answered thousands of questions like these, written many exam questions, and used a number of different in training exam and board prep courses. Rosh review is clearly the best of those resources. Results are measurable, and there is a good balance of bread and butter questions, as well as tougher and more esoteric topics in the primary care setting. If you have the discipline for self study and a limited budget to spend for exam prep, save yourself the travel costs and get Rosh review. You won’t regret it!

I used this review for the ENP exam and wow! I’ve taken several licensing and certification exams and this has by far been the best review I’ve used. The app is incredibly convenient - you can study literally anywhere! The tutor mode and explanations have such a thorough explanation. Took my test today and passed. The test closely mirrored the review questions but felt easier after all the practice. I bought a year and glad I did because I plan to continue to review questions to keep up to date on my practice.
