The unit was physically easy to install but pairing was difficult. I contacted technical support and they were almost useless. I was able to resolve my pairing issues with the app by reading the reviews here in the App Store that simply indicated that the unit will only connect to 2.4 Wi-Fi networks. So if you are having difficulty pairing to your phone simply verify that you are using your 2.4 network this change solved the problem for me. So far I have not had any other issues. One other problem that I read about was that users were unable to rename the device, that was not an issue for me I was able to rename it very easily. I have only owned this unit for a few hours but so far other than a slight hiccup with pairing it seems to be a good unit

The hardware is pretty good. The software needs a lot of work. This would be a better product if the manufacturer just open sourced it. The app won’t tell you the current temperature. It won’t tell you if the unit is actively heating or cooling, just what mode you’ve set it to. It won’t even tell you what temperature you’re setting it to until after you set it. The interface makes no sense. You can’t set a repeating schedule, only a single start and stop once in the next 24 hours. The heat mode screen is blue! The “auto” button apparently does nothing. The “sleep” button might work, but you can’t tell from the app. The only real advantage the app has over the old fashioned remote is the ability to change settings from outside the house. The app tells me “Rollicool supports Alexa and Echo” every time the app loads, even though I tap “Don’t show again.” I don’t have an Alexa, we use Google Home. Oddly, there is no Google Home integration. There is no SmartThings support, no IFTTT support, no Nest support. It’s frustrating to have a smart home and a smart device that won’t work with any of it.

Had this machine for months, both the machine and all ran wonderfully. One day it was particularly humid so we turned on the dehumidifier mode to see how well it works. The tank quickly filled, machine shuts off, and full tank warning pops up all as it should. Emptied both the top and bottom drain spots but there was barley any water. Talked with technical support which said “making sure there is no water to drain leave it on fan mode for a while. Then unplug the unit for 2-3 hours. After this time has passed please open the app and plug the unit back into the wall. This will allow the unit to in a way to "reset" itself and has been known to correct this issue” This however did nothing. I am unable to return the product for maintenance as I do not have all the original packing and boxes so I’m out of luck on this machine. It still works but the app and WiFi capabilities is what made the high price tag worth it. Not anymore.

Setup and outing was easy for me since I like my iOS on 2.4 for phone anyway. It’s simple to use and control. I didn’t give 5 stars since the timer is a one and done timer. I’d like to see a programmable timer for 24 hours and possibly even for days of the week! This is a true blue HomePod home so we don’t access Alexa if there is an option for it there.

So I was reading the reviews because I too had trouble connecting the rolling 310 to my phone and I stumbled on one that basically said that it connects to 2.4GHz networks and not 5GHz. This made me realize that I was connected to my 5GHz WiFi network so I switched to my 2.4GHz network and boom it worked. Try it out y’all! It’ll work.
