Relax it's Dentistry

Great app. Shadowing will forever be different due to COVID and the added risk of bringing an extra body in to observe dental procedures. Many dentists will be reluctant to take on that risk. Imagine if a predental student shadowing does get COVID. Immediately all shadowing will have to end. This is a great supplement.

I understand during extreme circumstances how this app can be beneficial. But I talked to several major schools who will overlook lower shadowing hours because they are understand of the circumstances. Personally shadowing is more than just watching procedures but the engagement you’re able to have with the Dentist and other members of the office. Call me old school but the hands on engagement from shadowing seems more beneficial than watching things performed over my device. But I hope this app can help students in the future if they are unable to physically see a dentist or unable to get that opportunity.
