Receipt Hog - get paid to shop

I’ve used this app for about 2 years and always thought it was good, you would only throw the paper receipts away so why not make a bit of cash from them? By all means, this is not a quick money maker, more of a reaaaally slow burner but don’t get much for nothing these days. However, as of late, I’ve noticed that I’ve put a receipt on, gone back onto the app a week later and the points have all of a sudden been taken back due to the receipt not being valid?! It was valid when the points were issued, so why take it back? Having to challenge 1 in every 3/4 receipts! Please fix this!

Receipt hog used to be good for giving out rewards but recently it has started being really stingy. For example, it says that you get hog slot rewards for uploading clothing receipts. I used to be able to upload charity shop receipts, and on the receipt it would say “ladies tshirt” so I used to get rewards for these. Now it seems they base the rewards on the name of the store and reject the receipt if it’s not on their “list” instead of what you actually bought from the shop, which I think is stupid because if this app for as they state - market research to see where people are shopping, then surely by rejecting receipts and restricting where you shop, they aren’t collecting full and proper data. They also reject receipts for reasons such as it being blurry, when it’s not and it sometimes takes them ages to acknowledge the receipt and by that time I’ve chucked the original so can’t re upload it. I’ve had to appeal against some of their decisions because they haven’t given me the correct amount of coins so check your rewards properly as they’ve done it to me around 10 times.

I enjoy using this app as in 4 months I've accrued enough coins to cash in £5,although haven't cashed in yet. This is beneficial to me as I save very little in reality so every little helps. Although the app has a couple of flaws- Since I've recently done updates on the app after I have photographed my receipts when it asks me to select who has been shopping no matter what I touch it refuses to accept I have selected anyone and to then be able to upload my next receipt I have to close the app and then re-open.. I also have to check that the receipts have been accepted and sometimes re upload them. I also gain approx 50+ tickets into the monthly sweepstakes although in nearly 4 months I haven't won anything at all back via the sweepstakes which is disappointing. The slots I don't find too bad as do regularly win the small prizes back which all adds to my total coins,but I do wonder if anyone actually wins the larger/actual cash prize amounts

I’ve tried to verify my device a few times but have not been able to. It keeps saying Microsoft is down and I can’t do anything after but it’s not so I really don’t know what I can do to sort this problem out. I have messaged receipt hog about this they sorted it out so I could try again but it’s happened again. I’ve asked for receipt hog to unblock it again but they haven’t done it yet. I’ve told them it’s happened again and could they sort it again for me but all I was told was to do the same thing as last time and nothing has worked for me. If they actually properly read my mail to them then I would be able to try again

I’ve scanned so many receipts and regularly I get told the same old nonsense putting it politely ‘not full receipt’ or ‘receipt blurry’ I look at image the image is as clear as the original receipt itself. The other issues I get I scan a receipt over £10 am supposed to receive 10 coins I receive 5 coins. When you contact them they take forever and a day to respond. Numerous instances over two weeks. Whilst I’ve nearly reached my set target I will cash my points in and stop using this app. ‘More of a headache than it’s worth’
