Random Fact of the Day - DailyBrain

This app has done very well by me. I am a teacher and use it each day in my classroom; the students get so they look forward to it. However, it has lately begun repeating facts. I don't know what algorithm it uses to do its thing, but with a whole World Wide Web out there, you'd think it'd be a long time before nuggets of information became scarce.

At first, I loved this app. I enjoyed receiving a new fact everyday. At least until I noticed that they’ve started repeating, which has been going on for a while now. Also, some of the sources come from strange sites and some of the links to those sources don’t work anymore. I even noticed that if I’m in the app, looking at the source, for too long it’ll crash. Some of the facts are also from the 90s and early 2000s as well and could’ve changed over time. I’d like some new and updated facts please. I don’t know if that will even happen considering the fact that the last update was 4 years ago.

I have had this app for a couple of years and I like it. There are a lot of the little known things or things that are easily forgotten. However I get a lot of repeats. There might be something new for me every 4-5 days. Kind of annoying but it may just be that I am not online all the time when I open the app.

I use this in my classroom every day and my students always look forward to it. Every once in awhile the app repeats facts or occasionally the information doesn’t seem to come from a reliable source, but overall this is a very convenient and fun tool for the classroom!

So this is a bit embarrassing... but I’ve had daily brain for about 5 years now. I love that the facts are short enough to remember and they’re about tons of different things, but I haven’t gotten a new fact in a very long time. I don’t know if they’re on a year long loop or something, but an update with new facts would be much appreciated.
