Power Planner: Homework & More

I have tried basically every student planner app, and PowerPlanner is hands down my favorite. This app is a beast, offering not only the standard assortment of features like class schedule and assignment tracker, but also rarer features like Grade tracker and even a “What if?” mode, which allows you to play with your grades and see where you think you stand in a class, as well as what you need to pull the final grade you want. Sadly, that feature is currently only available on the PC version, but I highly recommend using both. While I recommend this app for both high school and college, it has been a life safer for me in college. I owe 3 of my As last semester, in part, to PowerPlanner. On one of them, the teacher miscalculated my final grade in the class, which I only caught because this app told me what it should have been. For the other two classes, it showed me that my final grades were borderline (just below 89.5) before my professors posted final grades. This gave me time to contact them and request they round up my final grades, which they both kindly did. That is just a brief overview of my experience with this app for a single semester. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it as of yet. Definitely give it a try.

I would love to add dates where i skipped or didnt have a certain class to help keep up with coursework. Like a note for the day or something Also! I was thinking a function where you could transfer tasks or event to other days, while saving the same information because ive had goals/tasks assigned that i couldnt do the same day or where moved further and have to delete and open a new task another day to make it again. Maybe modifying the reminder times would be okay but i dont mind.

I don’t normally write reviews for apps, but this one is exceptional in how well it works and how nicely you can fine tune class details. The fact that the developer is just one person is even more incredible! You’ve done so well with this, Andrew. You’ve made my life a lot easier. Thank you very kindly. Though I do love it, it isn’t perfect. Not that this does much to detract for how much I appreciate the app. Some things to maybe alter if you continue developing are: - ability to distinguish between task and event in calendar view (maybe a ring around one or the other?) - ability to input no class time for online classes - ability to edit order of grades - ability to delist specified days and hours in the schedule - schedule snapping back if you zoom out too far so there isn’t extraneous white space - widget - dark mode

I love almost everything about this app. BUT I had to move on to another app because it doesn’t allow you to choose a different day to be reminded about an assignment. The app “myHomework” allows you to set a due date and time BUT you can set when you want a reminder of the assignment. Ex. If you want to be reminded 2 days before it’s due, it allows you to do that without changing the due date or time. If this app had that option then it be a 5/5 and I’d absolutely go back to it. I’m sure more students would use it as well!

At first I did not play around with the app enough. I just plugged in my classes and other scheduled meetings. I then learned after a semester of using this app how to get more use from it. So far I am able to keep better track of all events and keep class information right at hand. I am able to retrieve more information faster using this app then going through my printed schedules. Plus I get to save the planet one person at a time by not printing and killing a tree. Great job to the developers. Bravo my hat is off to you!!
