PiggyVest: Save & Invest Today

Things I like about the PiggyVest app? I can lock money away from myself. I can save N50/day and be just as proud as when I save N50,000. I can break my targets when I like, and get my money back, plus interest.I can completely forget about saving money, and the app saves for me, in the background. So many targets to pick from, I always have a place to stash free money away, while I wait for common sense to kick in and save me from my ‘chop all now’ self. I’m actually saving towards a new car! Stresslessly! 😁 And I can legit plan to buy an expensive phone without bingeing all at once. I love structured order, and finallllly, with PiggyVest, I’m kinda getting a hold of this keeping-to a-budget thing. Make I no lie, I love the financial discipline I’m getting here.

So I learnt about PiggyVest then (piggybank) from a friend sometime in February this year....at first I was skeptical about it plus I was scared I won’t be able to withdraw my money on the due date, but I decided to give it a try for six months and boy was I glad I did!!! I was able to save close to 200,000 which would have been near impossible normally coz I’m an impulsive spender and above all I was able to withdraw on the due date...... now my confidence level is on the rise and I can proudly tell my friends about app. Plus did I mention the user friendly interface and the interest incurred? PiggyVest is indeed second to none!!!!!!

Ever since I started using the PiggyVest App, I must confess that my savings culture had improved dramatically, I have been able to earn interest from my savings and the idea of paying a penalty for arbitrary withdrawals has kept me in check. My challenge with the App however was when I needed a statement of account to present at the embassy for a visa. The statement of account PiggyVest furnished me was grossly inadequate as it did not show the source of monthly deposits which I was making neither did it show the accounts to which I made my scheduled withdrawals. It cost me the visa and I have been forced to start saving with my traditional bank. As a savings approach, PiggyVest is great. But if you intend to use its statement of account for visa application purposes, I suggest you think twice.

I am not the type that writes review but I just have to do this. I got to know about Piggybankng from a friend sometimes middle February 2018, and since then my saving habit has seriously developed, last year I told myself I am going to buy gifts for some certain people in my life during Christmas and I started my savings with the intention to gift people with that money. Although I was able to save 26,600 as a student. I was also able to tell 3 of friends to join piggybankng and their comment has been wonderful. Thank you Piggybankng. I look forward to a better year of saving with you in 2019.

This app is seamless and user friendly, One of the best things I discovered this year. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I would have loved to see more investment choices. I believe it’s something that is being worked on though but I feel limited in my investment choices in the app. Also I wish the percentages could be calculated automatically both for monthly budgeting and for target goals in savings. In any case I love using this app for everything, I definitely recommend.
