I don’t use the app as a social media platform (though I do communicate with other users on occasion). I participate in the program to both donate my blood for research (in hope that it will benefit posterity) but also to keep a record of my symptoms for personal use. It’s a quick way to record day-to-day changes, which then helps me assess my progress and discuss this with my doctor. My memory will be conveniently unreliable (to suit whatever belief I have) if I don’t record in this manner. I’m able to look back in a specific month, perhaps to see any changes after I’ve started or stopped a medication. This app keeps me honest with myself.

PLM is a great place for anyone who has been diagnosed with just about every disease or ailment. It is a place where a patient can come and not feel alone. We come here for companionship, knowledge, organization and support and understanding. We can ask questions and know another patient knows exactly how we feel and can answer our questions from knowledge and a patients perspective. It is a safe place that is comfortable to talk about uncomfortable things. It can be anonymous or personal. You can make it what you need to. It is a well run site and the administration is very helpful. Thank-you for being a safe and comfortable place to land!

My experience with PatientsLikeMe has been a very positive experience! It’s a group of people who are interested and concerned about each other, and the health issues that we have. They listen to what works and what doesn’t work. What’s so comforting, is that I now have people that understand what I’m going through and what it feels like to have the same health issues I have! I had nobody that understood before. If they can learn ways to make things better from this, I’m willing to share to make that happen. I’m very happy to be a part of PatientsLikeMe!

Life is hard enough, but as in an ever ready demon like M.S. and it turns into a complete physical war!! I’ve seen some really scary times and pray🙏🏻, to never see them again! I think I’ve taken more steroids than a lot of muscle builders! I’ve been on a emotional and physical roller coaster for over 18 years, seeing my weight drastically go up and down, along with my emotional wellness. It’s great to see that I’m not alone!

Even if I just get you to write a little bit about your life it helps you remember before you going to therapy and you could even review it with your therapist or just use it alone as a reminder excellent program really well done I’m sure it’ll get even better.
