You can either use a single device to create all characters, or have every player create his/hers characters from a separate device. The party creator can initiate an initiative call. The app offers to automatically roll the initiative for every player, or the players can roll it themselves. After the initiative has been set, combat can start. App determines the turn order and notifies the current player to take his/hers turn. Simply play your turn, the app does the rest.
