We purchased our Oolers around a couple months ago and while the product in itself has been very helpful for me (I’m a very warm sleeper) the app that this is a review for definitely needs work. First off you need to give an email and then confirm through that email to use the app. The confirmation email takes a very long time to arrive (for both me and my husband). To the point that one might feel to need to press the button to re-send. Then you will finally receive an email but it will be the original one and no longer valid. Also, it tells you that they want app feedback and to simply shake it when you want to send feedback. That doesn’t work. I really wish it wasn’t Bluetooth reliant. Also a really big annoyance of mine is every time I use the app to try to turn my ooler off in the morning the On/Off button either isn’t responsive or is very laggy for some leaving you to press it over and over hoping it will work and the majority of the time it catches up at some point and then goes on and off it rapid succession. I really wish they’d fix this glitch.

Product is great, app is not. Although scheduling allows you to have multiple schedules for different days, that's about the extent of functionality. What is missing: * Instead of having discrete temepature setting in time, being able to set starting and ending temperature so that ooler can adjust the temperature gradually (say start at 65 at 10pm and gradually lower to 60 by 5am). * Temperature decimal points. Having the temperature adjust gradually may solve for that. In my case when going from 63 to 62 and from 62 to 61 in the morning I see that my sleep gets disturbed. * Being able to program it from outside. When temperature in my home is 72 I need different settings from when it's 75. Right now I have different schedules which I have to change manually. On the internet you can find support for IFTTT being mentioned, but none of the links is working. * A tutorial or guide on how to find your perfect schedule. Something that would learn automatically and adjust as needed based on Fitbit (or other wearables) as promised in Kickstarter campaign would be the best.

The ooler itself has been very helpful in keeping me asleep and not sweating. I got the more expensive one in order schedule warm and cold cycles. It does this but is very rigid and not flexible. You have to schedule by day. I would love it if life were that predictable. It would be far more useful for me to have several plans I have setup and to just select the one I want to start before bed. If my room is extra warm, I can set a cooler plan. Or vice versa. This also avoids the ooler wasting electricity when I go to bed late or I forget to turn off the schedule when I am away. The warm wake up is nice, except if I wake up early and turn off the ooler, then come back later to hear it blasting away trying to give me a warm wake up. In short, give a self activated plan vs being forced to turn off a schedule on an off for another one. Or editing the start time so another plan can start because you need to make changes.

I’m a big fan of temperature controlled sleep. I am sleeping better with ooler no doubt. But when it comes to the app, it leaves MUCH to be desired. In a perfect world I’d set my wake up time and bed time, and the app would have an algorithm to figure out the rest. The ooler app takes a lot of fine turning to get your temperatures right, and scheduling set. Once that is taken care of, there’s no way to interfere with that schedule other than editing it completely or turning it off. So there’s no way to make a schedule if you plan on sleeping in on the weekends or going to bed later. If you manually adjust the temperature because let’s say you go to bed 30 minutes early, the ooler is now in manual mode and the schedule will no longer be active for the rest of the night. Instead of picking up at the next scheduled time. Great product but the app needs a lot of work for me to truly be obsessed at this price point.

I like the Ooler product itself but it needs a much better app. Even though the unit is literally in the same room as me and my iPad, the app always takes three or four or five tries to turn the unit on and off. If compare the current temp on the unit to what the app says the current temp is, it sometimes doesn’t match by a degree or more. Finally, even though you’re supposed to keep an eye on the water level, the app has NO WAY to do this. You have to physically go to the unit and turn it on to see if the water level warning is on. Well, I if you have to do that every day and you can turn to unit on on and change settings on the physical panel, what use is the app? IMO they need to add a water level indicator to the app, or an alert that says water level is low!
