They tried to reinvent the wheel and made a flat tire. You can’t highlight, you can’t take notes, horrible navigation, speak selection is very buggy. Usually, if I do a ‘speak selection,’ the words disappear off the and once it’s done, the app is unresponsive and must be force quit and then you have to take time to use the poor navigation to get back to your spot. I really just wish the free digital copy could be redeemed on Kindle. I don’t understand why they made this app when something like Kindle already exists with all the features you’d want. I’m sad that I’m forced to use this app to take advantage of a digital copy.

I didn’t have any trouble accessing my book and downloading it as others have. However, most of the features that would make having an ebook useful at all aren’t possible with this app. It doesn’t allow split screen (so I can take notes as I read); it doesn’t swipe to turn pages (why?); the layout of text is small, unpleasant for easy-reading; in general the app is slow to respond to *any* action.

Terrible. The worse ebook reader ever created. The should not get book purchasers hopes up with this feature, because the book does not open consistently, and as others have mentioned, you cannot bookmark, highlight, or take notes. Yeah they pretty much get an “F” with this one. Springer Publishing should work with an ebook reader company that can actually deliver a working product!

Using on iPhone X and the screen is too zoomed in and cannot zoom out any further, cutting off several words. Trying to read a medical book so those missing words are very important. Tried using landscape mode but still same issues at times. Also pages flip too easily when trying to scroll and read.

Consistent with the other reviews, I can’t load the book. It’s really sad because I could have truly benefitted from the convenience of being able to read from my phone or iPad. I guess you get what you don’t pay for. After the amount of previous negative reviews, you would think some improvements would have been made.
