Nonsense Phonics has been designed for teachers and parents to give children a fun and engaging way to practise and consolidate their phonics knowledge. Nonsense Phonics combines over 450 real and pseudo words for both Phase 3 and 5, that need to be sorted into real and made up words, all designed to test a child's ability to decode using their Phase 5 sounds. Play 'I Spy' to encourage children to think of sounds and apply their phonics knowledge, while also encouraging them to practise the segmenting, blending an spelling of words. Matching phase 3 and 5 words, also gives children the chance to play while learning and practising their phonic knowledge of Phase 3 and 5 sounds. Nonsense Phonics also includes the Phase 3 and 5 sounds available for quick fire recall, a perfect starter for a whole class or group. Nonsense Phonics is ideal for Reception and Year 1 children within the UK who will be submitted for the Phonics screening and are working at a Phase 5 level, as well as children of all ages that need consolidation with these sounds. This bright and engageing activity will allow children to practice, consolidate and apply all the Phase 5 and 3 sounds, with quick and easy activities.
