Nimble Chef

Since my last review (in 2013) I’ve purchased an iPad and so was able to download the app — it’s fantastic. The recipes, the information on each chef and their restaurant and the chef’s notes are what makes the app exceedingly useful and user friendly. The one thing needed — additional recipe packs! That said, this is truly a great app and a great addition for all foodies.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am the proud father of Nimble Chef visionary, Chet Harrison. I have watched the evolution of this sophisticated and very helpful application over the last 3 years and have no reservations in giving it a 5 star rating. I find the ability to combine the preparation of multiple dishes into the time line to be a great help in efficiently producing a great meal. Showing what you can prep the day before is a useful feature. The Nimble Chef team has taken time to work through the process of preparing each recipe so there are no missing steps which top chefs sometimes forget to mention or may think are obvious. This app has encouraged me to try new things which I previously would have though we're to complex for my meager talents. I'm having fun with it and getting compliments on the results.

Read through the website but couldn't find the prices anywhere. I don't like the flow that I have to log into my ITunes account to find out what the prices may be. Everything else seems very user friendly except this essential aspect.

I love this app! Great interface, great recipes from award winning chefs and help with preparation timing and ingredient shopping. The feature I like most of all is being able to prepare a menu with different recipes and the app combines all the steps into one list, in order, of what to do from start to finish for all the recipes. Makes it easy to time your meal, one of the hardest things to do. Even great apps have room to improve, and for the Nimble Chef, I would love to see more recipes and even the ability to subscribe monthly for either the celebrity recipes or for classic recipes. All in all a great app! Hope future updates keep the great ideas coming.

I am a relative cooking novice but this app makes the experience an easy learning one with its easy to use features and detailed explanation of each cooking step. I am fired up to use NimbleChef for hosting small and large groups and impressing my social circle. Thank you to the creators for bringing such a great tool to the market!
