New Forest National Park Walks

I found the app excellent . Personally we are nervous without the written instructions to go with it but downloading the pdf instructions and using the written instructions for a walk with the app meant new had a lovely enjoyable time. The two walks we did Boldre and Copythorne Common were lovely Stephen Thomas

I used this app for a 1.5 walk. Firstly it’s great for basic functions but has some annoying quirks. The gps pointer is good but stupidly when you lock your phone it resets the app so when you re-enter it you’re back to the main page and have to then go into maps, search your position. Chose the route you are on and zoom back in. Absolutely ridiculous. If the route we did was say 5miles It would be impossible to keep using the app. Forget a 27 miler! Add a favourites button or stop the app resetting when you lock your phone. No one wants to leave their phone open and unlocked for 3-5hours! Also you can’t filter the suggested routes down by distance or location. It’s just a free for all on suggestions. Improve these and it would be a decent app.

Love using this, not only does it really clearly show you local walks through the map section but provides additional useful information. Only hope is that the developers continue to add to this. Keep up the good work!!
