I can’t use this app any more because it repeatedly crashes every time I try to delete a chart. It also won’t let me delete the Winter Star Party chart; it keeps coming back. I deleted the app.

This is a great app to have if you're an amateur astronomer like me. It provides all the most relevant forecast data, including cloud cover, transparency, viewing quality, humidity, and more. It's nice to be able to have this info immediately on hand. I would like it better, though, if it included the ability to store more than three locations at once. I've also noticed that it has a tendency to crash often. Fix the stability issue, and you've got yourself a five-star review. Very nice, and useful, for a free app.

I have been an astronomy obsessed amateur astrophotographer for three years now. I rely heavily on my phone; there are three apps which I use every single time I set up for a night.. This is one of them. Gives accurate info in an easy to understand format... What more could I ask?! On those nights where clouds ruin the fun, I often roam the map, salivating over the clear skies of locations far from mine. In fact, every time I travel, this is the first app I open to see what the night sky will hold for me when I arrive!! It would be cool if the app had some additional features, but none are even worth mentioning because the app is FREE. Considering my other must-have astronomy apps cost embarrassing-to-admit amount, I couldn't be more pleased with myCSC!

This little app capitalizes on the Clear Sky Charts (CSC) site and services astronomers rely upon for accurate sky condition forecasts. In this version one can select and display three sites for which CSC makes predictions and see the latest updated compact versions on the app's main screen. Tap one of those strip charts and the user is offered the corresponding Detailed Chart, a visit to the full CSC Site, or the Map Location of the observing site. My only, slightly nit-picky, criticism of the app is that Detailed Charts, when displayed in landscape on my iPod Touch, appear slightly "squashed." I won't complain much, however, because the entire chart is displayed, it is legible, and this app makes it easy to access the lightweight data from just about anywhere.

This app is wonderful, easy to use, and gives you all the information you could ever want quickly and accurately. Makes choosing locations much easier. I wish it had options for more than 3 saved locations, but that is perfectly fine by me. Download it. Doo eeeet. Now. :D
