On supported iOS 8 devices, such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2, myAltitude uses the built-in Barometer to calculate an extremely accurate altitude value. Note: this app should not be used for critical purposes, however is ideal for casual use. Please note the reading given by this application is only as accurate as your devices GPS can be. myAltitude only works on devices with GPS built in (i.e. iPhone, iPad). If you are having problems getting this app to give you a reading, please check location services are turned on and enabled for this app, WiFi is disconnected, and you are standing in the open air for a more accurate reading. This app will run and update in the background, where possible, if enabled in the 'Settings' page. However Please Note that Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life
