Aesthetically it’s a little cheesy, but it’s not too tough to navigate and runs pretty smoothly. There are a number of inexpensive bundles but the quality varies. The Sidaris movies are the same print and extras from the recent blu ray release so those in particular look better than they ever have. Two problems: 1) it needs an option to download. In this day and age not being to take your collection on the go where WiFi might not be available or is spotty is a necessity. 2) not being able to merge their earlier library as Millcreek with this new service is especially egregious. Fix these two problems and this budget movie bundle streaming service will be a five star app of its kind.

Most of the movies are extremely obscure, however there are many titles, especially TV titles, that are unavailable on iTunes. They also preview full episodes on some shows. Sadly, despite a price for an entire series, I seem to only be able to buy individual episodes which is cost prohibitive. There also seem to be missing episodes, so for now I’ll enjoy the freebies and hope they fix this. There’s a lot of promise here.

Been using the app to watch digital versions of a series a friend gifted me. Streaming works very well, have had no issues as yet. However, this app really suffers in that there is no way to download the purchased videos and watch them offline. MovieSpree really needs to add this function if they want to compete with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and the like.
