Money - Budget & Finance

I have come to like this app very much. It meets my needs quite nicely without a lot of unnecessary complexity I can do without. The in app purchase price for the standard version is quite a bargain too. I have yet to encounter any problems whatsoever in frequent use each week for months now. All the basic features I needed are here and then some. After a brief period of setup with my accounts and becoming acclimated to the app, I find it a breeze to use with features working the way I would expect them to. I like the basic reports it offers also. It’s very easy to drill down to where the money went in any given category. It’s also very easy to setup an ongoing monthly budget and view how you are doing at a glance anytime throughout the month. Lastly, I like the scheduling feature primarily in my own case to keep track of various automatically deducted subscription payments. It’s simple, productive and even fun to stay on top of personal finance with Money. Thanks Jumsoft! Nice job.

After researching and making a switch yet again for my checkbook app (was using Pocketmoney) - I'm crossing my fingers this is going to be the one. I didn't like the idea that I had to pay for a subscription to use more than one account. However I have the option to download from my bank with the subscription. Just hesitant to try that yet not knowing how it will match up with my manual register. With that said I use the recurring option and I'd like to see an option to summarize the entries. If you have one entry and it is monthly it will show a pending entry for all the months forward. My last app shows the entry but did not actually list them out. You had the option to pay the entries through the dates you wanted. Maybe this is an option that I'm missing? I've looked everywhere but haven't found where I can condensed these to one line. This would be a great added feature if it doesn't exist. I also have a lot of recurring items and it's looking like I have to manually select each one to post as well. I like to see what my balance is at month end to include all upcoming bills and deposits. These are two things that I'd like to see enhanced and more user friendly. Off to a good start.

The UI is great and there are some really great features. However, there are 3 things that if included would bump this to 5 stars. I’m not seeing a clear way to actually reconcile and see which transactions have been reconciled. Also it would be great to be able to set a transaction is pending for either future transactions or a transaction that hasn’t cleared. With that, it’d be great to be able to view cleared balance AND uncleared balance. That way if you enter a future transaction you know how much is in your account but can also compare to your bank which will not show future transactions subtracted (I.e. you have $1000 but are paying a $200 bill in two days. Your bank will show $1000 until the bill comes out. In the app you should see Cleared $1000 and Uncleared Balance is $800.)

Initially I loved this app. Ease of use , organized data the way I want and great shots of future expenses on the calendar was exactly what I was looking for. However, when I’m on my Mac device I can’t scroll the sidebar to view all he accounts at one time. This issue was addressed with Apple and the problem is not the MacBook Pro but the app I’m told. This problem then creates new problems by cutting and pasting information from created accounts and randomly place information in wrong folders. This issue also creates new folders and amending my list of accounts list by creating sub folders. I have a paid subscription however I’m limited on updating my information on the app when using my MacBook Pro and a upgrade message pops up. I went as far as trying to troubleshoot these problems but the online users manual offers no help. Perhaps my review will trigger some interest and solutions from the app designers. I really enjoy the apps but these issues have caused much frustration.

This was a great app and I absolutely loved it for a few months. Then...a pop-up verification window came up with updating information on a credit card to answer security questions. After answering them and hitting the ‘next’ button, absolutely nothing happens. It’s my primary card I use, so the app has now become worthless to me. I sent in for help from Money and they told me everything was working correctly. I sent in a video as requested to help explain and still no help received. It has some issues and seems to be no way of getting help to resolve them. This is not a possible wrong answers type issue: the security answers are correct and work on the site...
