Merge Plus

I’ve played more than my share of games, but this one has to be the most entertaining game I’ve come across. If you’re looking for something new, easy, fun and most of all highly addictive to play. Try this one out you’ll never regret it. Yes there’s adds that pop up at the most inconvenient times, but you have remembered, free games have to be free for a reason. Something else I want to share with you. I had 4 other games I played until I found this one. I deleted them and kept this one. There’s a reason why I did and once you start playing this, you’ll find out. Enjoy, I know I am. 😁

The game is great, highly addicting and amusing, but the advertisements are infuriating. Switch to reply to a text, or even turn your screen off, and you’re subjected to a 60-90 second animation about gambling, stupid repetitive game ads, or just anything, and they can cause the game to glitch out. If you try and X out of the ad or close the game to reopen it, it will reset your entire game. To even click on anything other than the numbers for the game opens another ad. To start a new game when you finish you have to watch an ad. To pause it, ad. To unpause, ad. Not even ones you can close out, but ones that keep going, can’t be muted without turning the volume off on your phone, and just keep playing. I want to keep playing this game but it’s not even worth it anymore. Less a game, and more an advertising app with a few minutes of good game play between the endless pop ups.

The game is genuinely really fun and a little more interesting than standard merge games. There are multiple ways to create three or more tiles to merge, including merging other tiles and adding to the numbers of existing tiles. The gameplay is smooth and attractive looking. You can play for quite a while before losing, and the difficulty increases in a natural way that will result in scores based on your own abilities, rather than just how many power ups you can afford. I personally do not play with power ups as I feel they affect the fairness of the game, so I appreciate this. The cons include full length ads after leveling up and when returning to the game. Most games that show ads in this way show ads that you can exit out of early. This is not the case here. You will end up watching many ads. Lastly, one minor quibble is that this game needs an ESL proofreader to give it a final polish.

The ads are annoying and normally I would just delete the game but I really like this one. So I purchased it and I can play on my iPad but on my iPhone it will not restore the purchase even though it has the same user name. Very frustrating!!! However, the major annoyance is that when you are down to one or two moves to add or delete, it keeps popping up asking if it’s difficult and if you want to watch an ad to get help. “No, I’m deciding how I want to play my next move! ArGH!” Would give it a 5 star if it wasn’t for the pop up.

I’d like to start by saying this is a GREAT game. But both my husband and I will uninstall after only 3 days of playing. 1st of all, it drains your battery, 2nd there are ads everywhere... always at the bottom of your screen, every time your phone goes to sleep, every time you take a break out of the ap, every time you die, every time you want to fill up your hand... and the ads are LONG... PLUS you have in ap purchases? This is a greedy game... $3.99 to get rid of ads. Regarding the game... I wish there was a little less luck involved... when you get a ton of combos... you still only get max 5 cards to hold. It would be nice to save a card for future use also. Anyways, I’ll be looking for a new game.
