I rarely write negative reviews about anything because it isn’t worth the energy to me to be “that guy”, but I don’t have a choice with this app. I gave it 2 stars because I think the app itself (design, interface, features) warrant 4 stars, but the reliability and functionality of the service itself is laughable at times. If I were to quantify, I’d guess that 1 of 10 attempts to use the app either to start or just unlock my car will not even open or load. It will randomly log out for no reason, and the “service is temporarily unavailable” or “system is down for maintenance”. It’s clear to me that the architecture of the software is fundamentally flawed rendering it unreliable. Imagine if 1 of 10 text messages you tried to send failed and you had to try again later? My hope is that Mercedes directs some resources to scrapping this and rebounding from the ground up because they really should be leading the automotive industry in technology, not lagging behind like they are.

I’m surprised how slow the app is and is not as advanced as the car. When I try to start the car it always gives me some sort of dumb error like “your windows or sunroof are open” “there’s not enough gas in the car”. Even though my windows and sunroof are closed!!!!!!!! And I definitely have gas in the car 😂 I can’t believe these errors. They make no sense. The gas has to be more than half full in order for it to start. Which is dumb. Because if it’s just even one line less than half. It still doesn’t start. So that means 45% gas is not enough? Dumb. I thought it would be convenient to start it in the cold if you have small kids. So it’s warmed up. But you can’t even adjust the temperature from app. You have to make sure before you leave your car physically the temperature is what you’d want for it to be if the car would be started next time. Another thing that makes zero sense is that once the car does start sometimes without a dumb error. When you go and try to get inside your car. As soon as you open the door. The car turns off. Does it not sense that you have the keys in your pocket or hands and that you are the owner so it should stay on?? Dumb!!!!!!!!!!! My god Mercedes what are you doing.

What kind of crap app is this. This will be my 3rd review of this app, apparently my other reviews were removed. This is the most unreliable app I’ve ever used, why offer the customer something you say is gonna be good and hardly ever works, always loading or doing”maintenance” so you never get to start your car in the cold, far less luxurious brands have this app mastered and you can set climate from the app and turn on seats and heated steering wheel as well which you don’t get from “ the best or nothing” brand, of you don’t have the heater turned on full blast the last time you turn the car off then there really is no point in using this feature. And if you don’t have 5 gallons of gas in the tank you can’t start it anyway like come on Mercedes it doesn’t take 5 gallons of gas to run for 10 minutes I’ve had far less luxurious brands of cars with a hard remote starter which Mercedes should offer anyway, that the car was basically on empty and still started. I have come to expect nothing less of these high end brands and luxury cars anymore offer all the services and never deliver, but as long as you get your money it’s fine. Very disappointed in Mercedes, this will be the last one I ever own.

I’ve been using Mercedes Me app for about a year now since I first bought my car. I like the information it provides such as door is lock or unlock, windows up or down, tire pressure , etc. I like that I get an email reminding me that my door is unlock and if I want to lock it. Another great feature is the reminder if I’m low on fuel while driving. Remote starter feature is great in the winter. What I would like to see included is a way to remotely close the trunk in case we forget as it sometimes happen when you’re busy with kids and groceries. Same goes with allowing us to remotely close the windows and sunroof. The app already informed you that the trunk and windows are opened or not. If they can add to them, it would make this app so much better.

MercedesMe is a powerful tool for any Benz owner. The start screen displays my exact AMG in an elegant and beautiful graphic. The layout is clean and easy to navigate. I can rest well knowing my AMG is safe and secure where I parked it. Real time alerts as to location, vehicle speed and engine starts make trips to the dealership for service a breeze. My car is one of the highly sought after vehicles which appear in dealership joyride horror stories. The app allays any fears of lot attendants trashing my pride and joy. The remote start works flawlessly (as long as you have 5 gallons or more in the tank) and locking/unlocking remotely works no matter how far from the vehicle you are. To sum it up, the MercedesMe app enhances the overall Mercedes ownership experience and provides ample peace of mind that my super car is safe and sound.
