The Melbourne Pollen Count App provides real-world pollen count data during the Melbourne grass pollen season (October 1 to December 31) from 6 pollen counting stations from around Victoria that are run by the School of BioSciences at the University of Melbourne, Australia. The Melbourne Pollen App also provides a year-round 7-day forecast of grass pollen levels for Melbourne and a next day forecast for Victorian country areas. We now provide a forecast for potential thunderstorm asthma events and advise users of predicted high pollen days and thunderstorm asthma using push notifications. Our users can also help us with our research by telling us how they are feeling via our hay fever symptom survey. Information collected by the survey helps us better understand the relationship between our pollen count and how pollen is affecting the community.
