Medical Terminology

Why would you need to know if the word is Greek or Latin based? It sounds like you need a Greek-to-English or Latin-to-English dictionary if that's your goal. The goal here is simply to show how medical terms are derived from root words with prefixes and suffixes. Once you understand that, you should be able to easily ascertain what a medical professional is talking about (or use it as a study guide if you are pursuing a career in that field.) For example (see the screenshots) if you know "endo" means within and "proct" means rectum, you would have an idea of what that means if the words are combined.
