This application allows you to measure a person's height using an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro equipped with a LiDAR sensor (Pro camera system required). It can accurately measure multiple heights in real time, even in crowded situations where body parts may be obscured. Upon launching the application, body height will be automatically measured. Please ensure that the ground is visible in the scene for accurate height estimation and hold your mobile device during measuring. As people appear on the scene, their heights will be displayed above their heads in real time. Keep in mind that you need to subtract the thickness of shoes from the displayed height to obtain an accurate measurement of actual body height. Additionally, the application will rank the heights when multiple people are present in the scene. To ensure the best results, participants should stand up straight, avoid slouching, and look straight ahead, similar to how measurements are taken with a height gauge. Otherwise, the measured height will reflect the height of their head from the ground. The body height measurement will continue automatically until you press the pause button. You can click again to unpause. You can also capture photos by pressing the camera icon and browse the captured photos by clicking the folder icon. Customization options are available: you can change the units from centimeters to feet and adjust the text color on the settings page. Access this feature by clicking the settings button located in the top-left corner. Additionally, you can adjust the height by altering the DP ratio (default is set to 1.5). A higher DP ratio will result in a larger estimated height. P.S. This application is based on my article "Real-Time Multiple Human Height Measurements With Occlusion Handling Using LiDAR and Camera of a Mobile Device," published in IEEE Access.
