I’ve read the reviews and from experience with no cash used - it is outstanding. Nice ranking system - you can rank quickly - caveat being - you use the appropriate strategy that is used in RL .... you can be outclassed by quicker or superior cards or effects. The game is a blast. Team did great job on going from card mode to transitioning to animation - loved it. Match load times are 3 to 15 secs .... quicker at lower levels and a little slower as you rank. Reward system is based on time effort that you put in. Play smarter and you win more. Lose - change up your deck and try again - same that you would in RL. When you get new cards you look to see how does that or how it could affect my next match - same in RL. Really enjoying the game. And yes if you want to sink a whole bunch of P-T-W, you will be able to boost your cards quickly, but that is the same in RL game play. How you play still affect the outcome. And no adds - same as RL. Lol. Great job and love the product. Been a fan of MTG since the mid-90’s. Played all the other e-version and this one comes close to what I image that the cards would do in my head when they are played.

Rare 5* review from me. It’s engaging, fast-paced, brainy and most importantly fun! I’ve read some of the criticisms from other reviews and while some are well founded, I think those will be addressed in later updates. I’ve spent money for the Magic Pass because it’s a reasonable amount IMHO compared to other micro transaction games out there. For what you get in doing so, it has been worth it. I haven’t felt a progress wall yet (rank 6), have access to all the new content except for a few paywalled planeswalkers . Even so, they are not meta. It has cooldowns to obtain rewards (long ones) but I haven’t found it to be atrocious. In fact, I’m chomping at the bit to play when they’re ready. The only downside is that despite it’s 4.7 rating in the App Store, I think it has attracted whoever it’s going to since release and I fear the game won’t gain traction for long term sustainability. There are few teams (guilds) to choose and half of those players are usually inactive. Nothing unexpected from Net Marble. Time will tell.

Magic influenced most TCG and I'm happy to see WOTC keep up with the times. I enjoy these type of fast paced games and still play the Star Wars version as well. Great Game and it's always exciting to see and hear the characters I read about and even see, if I'm lucky enough to draw them, come to life and move. I've just finished reading "War Of The Spark Ravnica" BY Mr. Greg Weisman. Fantastic adventure for those of us who believe we have a spark or feel like a Planeswalker when we play MTG. The man captured everything, everything one would want from the world of Magic The Gathering. This Mobile Game brought me even further into the world. NOW I WORK FOR NICOL BOLAS!!!! Did anybody else read the contract in the beginning?!?! I'm hooked and can't stop playing. Which plane is next? Thank You developers and I'm buying the Magic Pass. You folks deserve the credit and feedback for bringing the world I love and enjoy to life.

Overall is a good game it’s similar to Clash Royal. It has some cons like server errors and WiFi interruptions. Like any player vs player game a server error or WiFi interruption is crucial for the win. I had three different kind of error lately which cause me the three games. At first I gave this game five stars all five games I played I didn’t get any server errors or WiFi interruptions. The more I kept advancing through the ranks I noticed most of the WiFi interruptions when I was in a advantage during the game those miss seconds are crucial for the victory. Then the next game was ok no server error. The one after that one the server error restarted the app and got me back just before it ended with another defeat. I like this app but I won’t but any money in it until it runs full fair game with out any server errors or WiFi interruptions. None of my Fortnite matches restart on mobile so I know it’s not my WiFi.

Yea. There is no strategy here. If you pay more $$$, you win. Edit: sure, why not? I don’t like that the power of my deck, beyond a basic baseline, is dictated entirely by money. Upgrading cards requires extra copies of that card (which is fine) and costs additional gold, which is carefully doled out according to a very strict (and easily seen) schedule with a finite amount of progress. The only other way to obtain gold is through gems, and gems is tied directly to real world cash. So unlike other games where I can eventually get most of the non-cosmetic features of the game by paying in time, your game only lets me preview it for free before it, inevitably, puts me up against opponents that clearly outclass me playing at a level I can never attain without paying money. So not only is “free” a lie in this case, because, there is a clear divider between paying customers and non-paying customers, but the strength of every card in the game is tied directly to $$$ spent, limited only by availability of duplicate cards (which can be bought for cash). Now, if all the Planeswalkers were balanced, cost gold (as they do now) or gems, and you could earn card packs through game play, join duplicates for free, and alternatively buy card packs for gold, that would be a more equitable distribution in which paying money would get you more options and allow you to progress faster, but other players could get there eventually through game play.
