LIGHTIFY

With nearly 40 Lightify fixtures plus switches and motion detectors mostly of which I've operated for more than two years, I was happy to see the update (however unplanned). The process of reprograming my Alexa was a drag, but simply using the application made me know life would be better under v. 2.0 The massive updates included: * faster command execution (length of time my command took from application to light is so fast it felt like I was flipping a switch in the wall...seriously. Now it's faster than any Hub based light or WiFi-enabled light!) * finally the ability to schedule with special lighting patterns or moods (while I miss the seagull sounds...seriously I miss them a little...give me the ability to wake up with the Candy lighting effect, or osculating white temperatures if I've over slept!) So awesome #BringBackTheSeagulls 😢 I've been so impressed I've migrated 4 lights back to Lightify management from SmartThings and 2 from Abode! It takes ls a little work getting them working but reach out for help from Mfg. Because in the end their product is well worth it! Good job Lightify keep it going!

Sorry Dev team, but the new app is not an improvement over the older version. I truly love your products and ordered two more lights today. But the new app is much harder than the old one when it comes to setup and after installing the new App it took me several hours to get my schedule back up and running. I had to reset all the lights and start from scratch and that wasn’t a good user experience.

Everything was running well with all my devices before the update. Now my motion sensor will no longer turn on lights when motion is detected. Then this app said I needed to update the firmware on my multicolor bulb, and now it doesn’t work. Thanks for making my Lightify system absolutely worthless. I guess now I’ll have to spend hours trying to figure out what is wrong, or reset everything and lose all the programming I had before the updates. This is ridiculous. I just purchased another hub and bulbs for another location that I do not have constant access to. It costs me $100 to go there every round trip. This is not giving me warm and fuzzy feelings about relying on this product to help make my second house look like it is lived in while I’m not there.

I have had this system/app for a few years now and it is a source of constant aggravation. The only reason I have stayed with it is because of the investment in the light bulbs. The gateway (third) randomly goes offline and has to be power cycled at least once a week. If this happens when I am out of town, I have no control over the lights. Now with a new version of the app and “mandatory” update the system is unusable. I cannot get the gateway to come online let alone update it. I have no control over any light in my house, schedules, brightness, etc. There is no customer service to speak of. The CSA (“Niko”)has disappeared after telling me the gateway is offline. System can not be reset. What a joke.

I’ve had this system for few years but it has never worked as it should. Now I also have Philips Hue which works so much better. Even after the newest upgrade it’s still not working. The app is some better but the two lights I still have are always loosing connection and the scheduler only works sometimes. Bottom line I’m not going to use this anymore. :(
