Leading Athletics

The Leading Athletics App is designed to support Leaders to provide young people with a fun and enjoyable experience of athletics. This App is full of useful information on how to lead fun games and how to ensure these games are inclusive. These will help children experience the fundamentals of running jumping and throwing. Technical tips are provided to help the leaders support the development of young athletes. The App also acts as a support resource to the Leading Athletics Workshop (run in the UK). The APP is split into three sections: Workbook (free resource) This workbook supports those leaders undertaking the Leading Athletics Workshop. Support Resource (Full Edition – Purchased Content) This resource provides Leaders with useful information on roles and responsibilities, how to lead a fun and inclusive athletics session and further information on how to develop leadership skills. Game Cards (Full Edition – Purchased Content) Game cards are provided within the App which show how to run fun, engaging games designed to help introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing.
