Lakewood Daf Yomi

I started looking for a shiur to listen to while in the car a while back when learning Kesubos. I stumbled upon this app and really enjoyed the shiur infused with wonderful insights. I did this for Megillah also. Never had a thought at the time to learn Daf Yomi. Something about the enthusiasm of this particular shiur was so enjoyable and drawing me in. I was finishing a mesechta just as the cycle was starting Menachos and then decided to join the Daf yomi. So I started and BH have been going strong with this shiur since Menachos. I now also got my father-in-law to join and he is also doing Daf yomi for the first time, he joined with Bechoros. My wife always comments how beautiful it is to hear me discussing the Daf and shiur with her father every day. Really appreciate all that goes into this. Tremendous zchus and many brachos to all involved and to Klal yisroel.

Definitely the worlds greatest Daf Yomi Shiur*. Although The Lakewood Daf Yomi isn’t the only reason why I’m up to date with the Daf, Sruli and the Lakewood Chaburah is the reason why I look foward to listening to the Daf. I have attempted to keep up within the Daf many times and failed. As a matter fact I was so inspired to do the Daf after the Siyum Hashas but sadly failed. Close to a month in to this cycle some how (miracle sent by Hashem) I came across the Lakewood Daf Yomi and the mouth watering Raid bytes. Shortly after I was inspired and caught up with the Daf. I can go on and on but am the to keep my review short............ *In my opinion

I have listened to quite a few Daf Yomi shiurim and podcasts, and R’ Sruly’s Daf Yomi is truly one of a kind!! He masterfully and eloquently gives over #TheDaf with a unique level of clarity so that anyone from virtually any background can understand it. For those of us who went to yeshiva, it is the perfect combination of Daf Yomi and lomdis, bringing back the wonderful memories of our time spent in Yeshiva! He leaves the “Reid” for the end of the shiur (typically last 20 minutes or so) which is very helpful for specially if you’re on a tighter schedule. His “Reid” or insights are truly spectacular and show the depth and breadth of his knowledge, and they are “geshmak” and exciting, and easily explained and shared with family and friends. He is very committed to the shiur, ensuring it is available in a timely fashion, even ahead of a 3 day yuntif or however busy he is, and teaches and leads by example, creating a mechayev for those of us who listen to be equally committed. To paraphrase the Gemara, if not for R’ Sruly “kamma Yosef ikka bashuka”!

This app is totally amazing!! Firstly, this app wad very well developed and organized by Yechezkel Eider, makes finding the days Daf very easy. Another Great feature is that whenever you leave a Daf and return to it at a later date, it picks up exactly where you left off. It also has other great features such as starring, downloading, and checking off the Daf on the page itself. In addition, it also has voice speed control etc. All in all a GREAT APP!! Secondly and more importantly, the Magid Shiur R’ Sruli Bornstein is truly gifted in the way he gives over the Daf with such enthusiasm, and helps make complicated Sugyos easy to understand with his introductions and knowledge of Shas! I’m a commuting Rebbe who tried many different Daf shiurs until someone recommended this one. By far the most enjoyable. Reb Srulys clarity yedios and love for learning are unmatched he sounds like he gives shiur with a smile on his face and is having so much fun. It’s electric and contagious. The reid bites as well are perfect for short car rides or anytime you have a few minutes. I’m so very grateful for all those who invested so much time and energy to bring this to the masses.
