05/19 update:
App has developed bug of stops becoming unresponsive to further taps, instead only showing a solid red circle around the stop (kludge workaround is to force quit the app, at least until it happens the next time).
Also, it occasionally will give an “error updating” message presumably when it’s attempting to ping the Metro server (usually this happens when you most need the app to work).
04/22/16 update:
I like the unique concept of a map-based app, but I noted some issues with the app (it intermittently crashing upon opening). Rather than just complaining in a review, I contacted the dev about the problem, and he responded within hours. I felt better about paying to remove ads, since that's the kind of customer service worthy of supporting! Thanks!
My old review appears below.

Is there anyone in the year 2016 who STILL doesn't know the circle with the radiating waves represents YOU and your current location?
I say that, as the circle has a pop-up message that says, "Your Current Location". Well no kidding?!?
It would be nice if the option of disabling current location pop-up were offered, as a problem arises when you're standing at a bus stop, and you want to check arrival times. Good luck tapping on only the stop, since the pop-up informing you of your current location will often appear, since you'll inevitably end up tapping on your location.
Also, the app uses a TINY FONT SIZE to show arrival times and names of buses: this cannot be increased (not even by rotating into landscape mode). Obviously the dev must be young and pre-presbyopic, as a tiny font is extremely hard to see, and downright painful to read in the dark for anyone over 40.
Also, it would be nice if the app were able to display routes even when buses aren't currently operating on a line. This would be useful when looking for possible routes for the next day to get to a destination, even when no buses are operating on the line (e.g. many bus lines don't operate on weekends, but it would be nice to see the route on, e.g. Sunday night, to plan a trip for Monday morning).
All in all though, the app is still better than the other Metro apps, since you can use it to check expected arrival times at the transfer point ahead to see if you'll make it with time to spare, or if you'll have to run.
