So. I’m just on the App Store and I come across this app, didn’t think anything of it. These things never work for me and I wasn’t gonna be surprised if I got denied again 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I put in my information and was approved before I even knew how to finish using the app. It was only for $50 and $100 but it was super easy. Don’t know if I’ll cash out but still very shocked and surprised.

Before downloading I read through quite a few reviews saying the app is bogus & they got denied immediately...I should have listened to them. The same thing happened to me, denial with no explanation, I feel like they should at least tell you WHY you didn’t get approved, or maybe even suggest areas where you should try to improve before you come back. I guess the upsides are that the sign-up is quick and easy, and I think the little information section of the app is pretty cool...these are only things that saved Boro from a 1-star review. Seriously though, unless you’re living off Mommy & Daddy’s money you probably won’t get approved by these people.

The BoroCash feature is nothing like ever seen before. I’m a very recent college grad & was already approved for a micro loan through Boro. This whole venture is so exciting & revolutionary! Love the transparency & simpleness of everything. 👏👨‍🎓 A few app bugs here & there (make sure to squash em!) but beautifully designed.

I was trying to see the hype about this app, but unfortunately I was denied. All I did was provide my school email address, my name, and home address without taking any consideration about my finances. They are going to use that excuse that they have an automated system that checks credit and income to debt ration (which doesn’t make sense because you don’t provide that information). Overall I didn’t need a loan i just wanted to check this out.

As other people have complained about, they don’t ask any sort of financial questions. They asked for my email and phone number. How does that make any sense in justifying who gets approved and who doesn’t? What’s the process behind immediately denying me over my email? Only took a few minutes but still a total waste of time!!
