Please let me uninstall and get the previous version back. If you measure in low Ketosis you won’t get the result in this version. It’s almost as if the scale changed.

The trend chart simply doesn’t save your data. This is a very simple app and should be able to plot data overtime. Do not recommend.

I purchased the Ketonix device (over $200) a few months ago and was FINALLY able to figure out how to use it with the old Ketonix app without having to create an account, now there is a new version of the app as of June 2020 that REQUIRES you to create an account, and per their privacy policy, allows them to collect personal private information on the user and this collection is “mandatory”. I DO NOT want my information collected or shared...I just want to keep my personal data (privately) on my phone, which is how it was when I bought the device. I sounds like this app developer is looking to turn our personal information into another revenue source like many other unethical apps do. Now that I updated the app (that now requires a Mandatory account creation), I cannot go back to the old private version of the app. This is NOT what I paid for and would either like them to allow me to return my “Ketonix Bluetooth Smart” for a refund or allow for data storage locally on my device ONLY. Some developers forget that growing numbers of people a finding data collection and sharing to be unethical. Don’t forget that I PAID for this device and service so it is not just another “free” app that pays for itself off of collection and selling personal users data. So, in conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing a Ketonix device until I’m assured that I do not have to give personal information to a company that did not require it until this past update. I am a strong advocate for the GDPR. PLEASE feel free to contact me for resolution and or clarification on your privacy practices.

The hardware for Ketonix breath analyzer is pretty decent. It has a little bit of a learning curve, and needs time to warm up but overall it’s a solid way to measure ketosis. The app however is very sloppy and appears to have had little effort in its design. The device connects well with the app and measures well, but the worst part of the app is it’s analysis tab. Virtually all features within that tab appear to have no function nor is there any explanation how they should be used. You can plot your readings within specific date ranges, unfortunately it does not display informative time markers for the readings on the X axis. It just shows “12pm” multiple times across the axis label. Three trend lines can be displayed. The first is the actual levels displayed in a blue line, then there is a linear trend line shown in green, and then a third ambiguous curvilinear trend line listed as “MAV” in pink. There is no explanation as to what this is nor does there appear to be any explanation of it on the website. The app will give you the info you need to know but it’s very crude.

To the developers: Please improve the analysis features on this app. I don’t want to see my weight or blood sugar, just the Ketonix measurements. But because you left space for the other measurements the ketonix chart is way too narrow. It goes up by increments of 20. I’d need increments of 5 to see where I’m really up to. My data points blend together and I wind up having to visit the “edit” portion of the app to see prior measurements. This is a shame because you obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the hardware. Please update the app so users have the experience you’re after.
