Just The Tips

I’ve been using this tip tracker since February and it has been fully reliable until this last update. I updated last night at the end of my shift, when I opened my app today it nearly doubled how much money I actually made. Some orders were duplicated and instead of showing the 22k I’ve made this year, the reports are stating that I’m at 42k. It’s not even just the orders that were tripled and doubled, it’s messing with my hours as well. It went from perfectly tracking my hours to adding an extra 15 or 20 out of nowhere. I can’t even find where they’re being added because it’s not in the orders, not even the duplicated ones. I worked one day in November so far and the reports show I’ve made 1k instead of the $100 that it really is. I was hoping to be able to restore my data but the only restoration point is from after the update. Why are there no other restoration points available? And the only way to contact the developers is through twitter Instagram and Facebook?? I can’t believe that nearly whole years worth of work is lost. It looks like I’m back to keeping track manually. If a developer is reading this, please contact me and help if possible. Please fix whatever is causing these issues. Edit: developer got in touch with me within a timely manner and fixed my issues. Crossing my fingers that none of that will happen again but for now I’m satisfied with my service. Thank you jtt!

This app has been amazing since i got it a couple months ago . i can fully track all my tips , credit and cash . i can see overall where my week is at from a glance and i can see whether or not i'm wasting time with their hourly calculations. thing is ... just a couple days ago it completely crashed on me !!! i've updated my ios, the app itself for does not need an update , i've tried deleting and reinstalling, but still ... it crashes when opening !!! it breaks my heart because i've gone back to my notes to record my tips and just miss the neatness of the app 😩 i would love an opportunity to get it fixed .

My biggest complaint is the jumping around with everything we do in the app. Especially when I’m looking at the month tab, I try to scroll down but the page keeps jumping to the top of the month. Constantly. It simply will not allow me to scroll to the bottom so I can see the last week of the month, and the beginning of the next month. I also need to go into each day to see the breakdown of my earnings, and when I go back to the month tab to go into the next day it pops back up to the top of the month so I have to try to scroll down to where I was, and it keeps jumping to the top again. The jumping around makes it impossible to get a quick glance to make sure my pay check is accurate. I also wish there was an option to separate cash tips from credit tips easily so we don’t have to sit there and go through every day to add up our credit tips to compare to our paycheck. I understand that most restaurants give you tip outs as cash at the end of the night, but where I work we get a paycheck every 2 weeks for our credit card tips. The app is a great concept, but the screen jumping makes it nearly unusable for me. I’m looking for another app that basically does the same thing but doesn’t have these glitches.

Ive never left a review for an app if this says anything about how frustrated I am. I’ve been using the app for a year now and only had minor glitching issues up until recently. Then about 3 days ago I couldn’t open the app. I’d click on it and it would immediately shut down. I force closed it. I tried restarting my phone, didn’t work. So I deleted the app and reinstalled. Tried to log in and used every possible password I could think of. Nothing worked and I got locked from trying any more. So I tried to reset my password. Wouldn’t let me. I got a message that said “Unknown Error: We apologize but an unexpected system error occurred. Please try again momentarily.” It’s been saying that for 3 days now... I’ve emailed support, messaged on Facebook and Instagram over the last 3 days and have gotten no response. I need to access my data for tax reasons. And I’m starting to worry I’ve lost all of it. Please someone help. Hoping this review will get me a response from support since nothing else has proven successful.... :/

I love this app. Simple, easy to use. I would just like to recommend to the app makers that they add a setting to change how each week is tracked. It’s one day off from the pay period at my job, so it’s harder (but not impossible) to figure out what I’m actually making week to week and what to expect on my next paycheck. If I were able to manually set up the pay period within the app, I could fix this discrepancy and wouldn’t have to resort to manual calculations to figure out what next weeks direct deposit will look like. (I get all my credit tips each week on my paycheck, which is why the lack of this feature is particularly bothersome to me). Additionally, offering a feature that calculates tax deductions, enabling the user to see both gross and net income, would be a wonderful improvement. All in all the, a great app that does exactly what it’s advertised to do and maybe even a little more. If you’re like most tipped employees and receive all your tips at the end of each shift, the improvements I suggested above probably wouldn’t even affect your use of the app much, so it’s perfect for you as is!
