Jiobit for Families

I love how small this tracker is! My 5 year old Autistic son actually LIKES wearing it and makes sure I put it on his belt loop every day. I feel like the app alerts me pretty quickly after he’s left a “trusted place.” My only complaint is that the map is not very detailed. When he’s not in a trusted place I can see what part of town he’s in and street names, but the buildings are mostly just unlabeled rectangles and squares. I would prefer a much more detailed map and the ability to see a satellite view. This isn’t a deal breaker for us. However, I do worry that I would have a hard time finding him if he wandered off.

My first charge lasted 12 hours. Now that I don’t use all of the features, it averages 2 to 3 days. If you want to live track, it depletes the battery in a matter of a few hours. Better find your dog quick! If it uses the cellular network, it kills the battery fast. Stay close and keep it on bluetooth and it helps. If you get on the map and make a bunch of safe places, the battery will last longer, but it won’t show you your pets exact location, only that he’s in a certain safe place. I wanted to know where my dog was on the farm, but the battery doesn’t last long enough for this. I had to make the entire farm a safe place to keep the battery up... The map doesn’t have satellite view, so if your out in the country the only reference points are roads. No houses, barns, tree lines, creeks, only roads. Also the map doesn’t show your location in reference to your dog so you have to make your best guess where you are on a standard view map. It gets 3 stars because it works good in town and if your pet is always near a care team member with Bluetooth. Not at all impressed with the 7-45 days claim.

This Jiobit is a pretty amazing piece of tech. It’s about the same size a General Motors key fob,very small for what it does. The battery life all depends on how much you use it. I have yet to completely drain the battery in a single day. Just like my Apple Watch, it goes on the charger at the end of the day and is ready to go the next morning. The charging cradle is so easy to use, just snap it into place and its charging. No messing around with cables facing wrong directions. The Jiobit itself seems to be of excellent build quality and the included attaching clips are very well designed. For example, the belt clip is rounded on the edges as to not pinch the wearer of the device. It clips onto clothing so snugly, I’ve never had a concern it may fall off. The cellular signal is great in my area and I’ve never not been able to connect outside of a trusted area. Aside from an incredible device, the best part about the device is the amazing customer support that comes with it. Their “Jiobit For Families” Facebook page is setup for users of the device. Not only are other users all over answering questions, but Jiobit typically responds within minutes or hours as opposed to days or weeks. Not only are they answering questions, they are listening to their customers and making changes to accommodate the end user! Customer service is not dead, they just all went to work for Jiobit. Thanks for an amazing product and listening to your customers.

After weeks of testing- the battery is good for about two to three days. Less if you use their live tracking mode. Customer service is very responsive, however would not provide free shipping for the return as they insisted that the return is not due to a defect - even though the return request was placed within my trial time. In my opinion, if the battery does not operate as advertised, it’s defective. It is waterproof as my kids took it to the beach, location settings are not very accurate though because I was unable to locate one of two jiobits at the mall. - as the location of the item was inaccurate so it took us about 45 minutes to find when it fell off of my kids’ shoe. Notifications got better with the update, but as long as it’s the location the jiobit is leaving or entering a trusted place. If you the jiobit travels to a store or park or other location in between travels of trusted locations, you’ll have to check the app to see where your child or pet is. If the battery life worked as expected, I’d be happy-

I purchased the device for my toddler son starting school. I was amazed at how quick it was delivered and at the amazing quality of the device itself. Most of all, I have been highly satisfied with the customer support they offer. They went far and beyond to help me get my device to be accepted as part of the Care Team (foreign cell). They worked until they created a way to allow it and maintained constant and clear communication with us thru the process. I am so happy with it and the service that I will be purchasing a second device for my other child. Aside from that, location accurate incredible and instant notifications on locations! I have tried other devices and this totally beats them! Highly recommend.
