iPro Connect is a secure communication tool enabling virtual visits or virtual meetings that can be used as a standalone system embedded into existing EMR or within iProcedures’ existing modules. The use of iPro Connect with mobile devices eliminates the need for expensive fixed workstations, which also present a serious risk of cross contamination especially during times of a pandemic when staff augmentation is a reality. Provider to Patient – Virtual Visit iPro Connect is an easy and secure way for the clinical staff to consult with a patient for pre-admission or pre-anesthesia testing through a real-time video visit. This patient-focused experience is available from anywhere thereby eliminating the expensive, inconvenient, and time-consuming nature of a traditional visit. Real-time video visits are no longer just a convenient way to connect with a healthcare provider. The risks of exposure and restrictions on travel make these virtual visits a necessity. In addition to the cost savings and reduction of risks of exposure, it also helps enhance readiness and minimize delays, which drives an efficient practice. iPro Connect will help improve patient satisfaction and provider workflow. Family Engagement iPro Connect offers easy and secure communication with the family of a patient. This system removes the barriers to access imposed by quarantine and/or travel restrictions, and it helps eliminate or minimize the risk of exposure to patients, family and healthcare staff. iPro Connect can be used to remotely communicate with the patient’s family to discuss and obtain consents or in pediatric cases in the NICU, PICU, or Peds floors as a way to keep in touch with the parents. This system also allows the patient’s family to avoid the inconvenience and frustration of being stuck in the waiting area because the care provider can reach them anywhere with status updates for the case. These can be automated based on the movement of a patient (e.g. to PACU) or personalized messages from the Anesthesia provider. In situations where the patient’s family cannot visit in-person due to travel restrictions or quarantine or the lack of proper protective equipment, the system can also offer private video conferencing for patient to family communication. iPro Connect enables quick and easy communication without the hazards of non-essential traffic in a healthcare setting. Provider to Provider iPro Connect offers the ability to communicate with colleagues in the hospital environment. With restrictions on movement within a facility and periods of isolation or quarantine, this tool enables video conferencing from anywhere without the need to locate the other person or don protective equipment. It will significantly lower the strain on time and resources and allow the care providers to optimize their time and workflow. Anesthesia providers can quickly and easily consult with colleagues about a difficult procedure, supervise cases from anywhere, and more.
