Hi, you probably misunderstood the functionality. When you encrypt something with your key it generates a PGP ENCRYPTED MESSAGE ASCII armor. The message is perfectly valid and you can copy it to your clipboard. The headers of this armor can contain encoding and pgp version information as well as an optional comment. This comment has a link to download this app, just for a potential advertisement, since this app is free. The app itself doesn't store your keys anywhere on the internet, neither does it send the messages anywhere. You don't have to have any internet connection to use the app, not to mention downloading any other other software.
