This is a no-frills plain-text wiki with data storage & sync provided by iCloud.
Ever since Trunk Notes left the AppStore and VoodooPad has stagnated we've been left with a bit of a void on the Personal Wiki front. (There's also Kiwi but it requires Dropbox and that's a non-starter for my needs. There are a few other notetaking apps with pseudo-wiki link as well but I wouldn't call them wikis per-say.) The app starts up and saves the data as one would expect, so I'm not sure what the previous "crashes upon open" report refers to. Also the app works with iOS "Split screen" as expected, which is nice.. you'd be amazed at how many reference/productivity apps don't work with split screen.
(I've only tried this app on an iPad and these are my initial impressions...)
Enhancements I'd like to see:
(I'm leaving this feedback here, because I could not find a way to email the developer(s).)
- The app description should make it clear what the storage solution is (iCloud)
- If you rename a page then references to that page should not break (If I rename Test to Testing then all pages that link to Test should now link to Testing. IMO, this is a key feature that separates a Wiki from just a plain-text note app that let's you reference a note by a filename.)
- If I type a page title into the search bar and there are no results, I should be able to hit enter on my Keyboard (I'm using an iPad Pro with a keyboard) and have a new note created (with the first line being the search text string I had entered) rather than having to use the dedicate "+" new page icon to create the page.
- Data Export: There needs to be documentation on how-to access your data and/or a feature to export it all as a Zip file that you can take with you. Nobody likes data lock-in.
I'm fine that there's no formatting or Markdown support - I could understand people asking for it but personally I can live without it. Likewise, a plain-text data import would be handy but not required.
