Historia World

Knowing the dates of scores of obscure events doesn't equate with real historical knowledge... but then again it kinda does. Many of us have seen "Braveheart" but few would realize that many years lie between the time of Wallace and the eventual success of The Bruce. Knowing dates represents the minimum necessary scaffold and this app does an admirable job of helping build a more complete picture of what came before.

I like the game but when I added to my phone none of the books I have earned on the ap from the one on my iPad did not transfer. Very frustrating. I've already paid for several of the groups and will not pay again.

I have usually been a walking encyclopedia when it comes to history, but lately I felt the need to brush off old topics I have not touched for a time. This app has made me feel like an idiot but never once have I enjoyed being one as much as I do with Historia. It's a unique moment when your made to understand no one is all knowing.

This was fun, not overwhelmingly challenging for a non-history buff. I expected to lose terribly. I played American history and Science & Technology. I love quizzes and my only complaint is that the answers are limited to the year in which the event occurred rather than who or where, etc. But, I 'won' a book on my first try on Amer Hist - that was very cool!

I like trivia and history and this sweet little app is a nice amuse-bouche that blends them well. Each little book consists of a handful of date based questions. You only have to know the year, which is actually really nice. You get a mental timeline that's 95% of what you'd ever need and 1/3 the work. The little blurb on each event is nice too.
