Harmony Helper

The app it’s self is great! I like how it looks, I love the idea and for practice it really is great! However, I just wish they had better songs. Now I know this app is new. When I heard about it a year ago it wasn’t even on the App Store so I know it is really new! I just wish they had songs that I really could sing to. New songs. Scales would also be really great. As a music student, scales would really wish they had scales. Because this app is great for choral students, but there aren’t enough song options yet. I hope thy add some more soon!

Can’t say enough good things about this technology. This app can scan your music and help you learn it perfectly for an up-coming audition! I’m a professional musical theatre actress and this really helps me in a pinch when I have to learn a new song fast. Really replaces the need for a voice teacher to plunk our your part. Scan your music either with a picture or upload a PDF and bam you have your part ready to learn in minutes. It’s a brilliant tool and I will be using it for all my music and harmony learning needs for years and years to come! Highly recommend.

I’m not sure about others, but I’ve had issues with not all the notes on music I import (either via camera or uploaded file) being correct. 90 plus percent is great, but wrong notes are jarring and don’t help with practice. If we had an interface for being able to review and correct the translated notes, this app would be phenomenal. But for now I still find myself going back to a piano to plunk out my line so that all the notes can be correct. I’ll be thrilled to see this functionality in an update, or to be informed it’s an option I’ve somehow overlooked. Getting my music to 100% correct so I can practice it all would be worth five stars, a renewed subscription, and more!

This is such a great app. I’ve been having a great time using this app to help learn my music, and I want to present it to the theatre company I work with, but there are still some minor bugs. I was trying to access my music, but it is not allowing me to play it because it says I need to restore my purchase. When I try to restore it, it says my purchase is restored, but still does not let me play and gives me the issue of having to restore my purchase.

Instead of needing to find a pianist to play through my piece with me before an audition, I just use Harmony Helper! It’s super user friendly and quick- I can upload sides casting sends me through Dropbox and Google Drive or snap a quick photo of them and it converts it all on my phone to easy playback of my part. I’ll be singing along to Harmony Helper forever. Thank you for creating this MUCH needed app for the vocal performance world!
