Great Run: Running Events

It’s good enough - possibly one of the better apps I’ve used to track friends running. The others all crash but I’ve never known this one to. Simple to use. Accurate to within 0.2 miles so not far off. Only thing that lets it down is broken chips. One of my friends has been stuck at 15KM for 3 hours even though I know she’s finished! I think her chip got hungry & went for chips......

This worked fine before the event for info. I didn’t use the live tracking but friends did and said it worked fine. After the event it had finish times of runners via the tracking function however now that has gone and been replaced with ‘Results’ but this isn’t working! So frustrating! The results for the event are just listed so you can’t filter by men/women so while I know my overall place I can’t see how I did amongst other people in my gender or age category etc.

The info given in this app is fantastic. Being able to track runners and see the leader board is brilliant. Although it’s so good you find yourself engrossed in where everyone is on the app, you forget to watch the actual athletes! 😄

Took ages to download (not the apps fault) but was well worth the wait! Saved me being squashed at the barriers waiting for my son to run in to view. Tracking was superb, estimated finish time was spot on, made the whole event go with a swing!

The app says you can compare results, however I'm looking up my great north swim times and I can only select one at a time making it impossible to do a comparison. That's assuming I can remember which year I did which distance. It would be great to be able to search a name and it comes up with all events that person has completed.
