Globe – The Living Network

I booked a hotel at NYC last year through recharge to freshen up and nap, and I had no problems checking in at all. I was very satisfied withy booking. Although, I wish they still offer hotel options, since when I travel, I often find a need to nap, shower, and have some privacy. This app is very useful when you don’t want to commit to a full stay at a hotel/Airbnb.

I’ve used this app many times over the past couple years, mostly during lunch or after going out and it was fine. Last Thursday I booked a room, was there for an hour and received a $230 charge. After inquiring I was told there was a surcharge due to the time the room was booked (10pm). It said nowhere on the main page that displays the costs that there would be a minimum charge. And customer service basically told me I was SOL. Won’t be using this app anymore.

Yeah, this isn't the app I downloaded. Somehow it's even more poorly designed, and has a worse service behind it. And the service has pivoted so much, it no longer serves the purpose I wanted. And the rebranding is such that I can't tell what is named what. Search for "Globe" in the App Store, you don't find this app. Search for Recharge, you find the app called Globe, and its synopsis describes the new service, but calls it Recharge. Get your $#%& together, folks.

For whatever reason this app does not work. Upon downloading it and signing up the app worked just fine. After doing all that the home screen froze and the app didn’t work. I tried closing the app and reopening it but this time it just showed a white blank page. Then I deleted the app and redownloaded the app and still had the same results as the first go around.

I joined the waitlist in December of 2018. I was around 1300 in line at that time. After a few months, I still hadn’t moved up the list so I tried the other ways like suggesting a friend and listing a property. I only moved up 100 spots. Now It’s June 2019 and I’m still only 1200 in line. Don’t waste your time, I’ve never heard of an app that has such a long waitlist. useless!
