Forever Lost: Episode 1

Great graphics, music, and gameplay. Challenging but not too crazy. Bought the whole set after playing the first. ONE GLITCH: If you play Iception again after you open the treasure box, there’s no way to exit and return to the Waiting Room. I had to reset the game and start over because the developers obviously didn’t think that players would return to the iPad. I was stuck so I retraced my steps, and couldn’t get out of Iception.

These games are so well thought out. This is far beyond your basic “find the key and unlock the door to escape” game. The puzzles are challenging, but thoroughly rooted in logic. If you get stuck, their hint system is just enough to give you the exact nudge you need without giving anything away. The graphics are beautiful and the music is perfectly creepy. I haven’t started the third game in the series yet, and I am already lamenting when it will be over and I will be done. Glitch games is the pinnacle of this genre.

I adore every Glitch Games release and it all started with FL1. This game is excellent. I’ve played through multiple times. It’s shorter than their other games, but it’s a great intro into the gameplay and mechanics, not to mention a killer storyline. I hardly ever review any apps/games, but this one definitely deserves 5 stars and more. Keep up the good work, guys! I love your games!

Glitch Games are simply one of the very best developers out there and Forever Lost is up to their wonderfully high standards.... in fact it helped set the standard. The puzzles are Intelligent, clever, thoughtful, creative.... there's an in game hint system.... and then there's the brilliant in game camera (why don't all games have this!). Thank you, Glitch Games! More please!

For the price and based on the description and reviews, I was expecting a game comparable to The Room or House of Da Vinci. Unfortunately, Forever Lost falls far short. In fact, it IS short. It feels like a half finished thought. The game is dark, which appears to be a deliberate choice to detract from its sub-par models. That’s extra amusing since it doesn’t move around like other games, it’s a point and click screen change game. It feels like rendering this game in 3D had no point. The controls are awkward, the hints are unhelpful, the plot is tired, and the game is upsettingly short. It felt maybe 10% to 20% the length of the other games mentioned here, and not as enjoyable. I will definitely not be purchasing the sequels. Save your money. I took an extra star off because I feel swindled.
