Float City

I love this app! New York City is full of gems, but even after living here for over 10 years there are some really special spots that I would never have heard of were it not for Float City (and the Soho Walking Tour). I highly recommend this to anyone visiting NYC, or locals — yes, even if you’ve been living here like me for many years you can enjoy this app.

New York City NEEDS this. I've always wished something like this existed. My friend told me about it and recommended that I share it with my friends that are visiting NY from out of town -- but I like it as a local, too. The app is very functional and clean-looking, with interesting stories and info about the art and architecture that's pretty much on every corner in this city. I pull it out when I'm curious about something I see, and I usually end up learning about some nearby sights that I had never noticed before. There's a limited amount of content on the app now so it feels a little sparse, but I heard ArtWalk is working on fleshing out all of NYC, and that's why I give 5 stars. Can't wait!!!

I’ve lived in the city for 4 years and I thought I knew a lot about NYC, but since using this app, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. The app covers different neighborhoods, their landmarks, and their interesting back stories. The app is also beautiful, organized, and easy to use. I highly recommend it for both tourists and locals.

I downloaded this app upon entering the city and it was fantastic. I felt like I was getting the inside scoop while meandering through the city. Reading these unique stories was like having a New Yorker friend without really having one! I recommend downloading for a unique experience of New York City. Cheers!

Incredibly useful way to learn more about the city. Great stories and insights - even for a local! The simple, functional and beautiful interface also make this app a delight to use.
