Explore Bible Devotional

I found this app while reading a 90 day devotional called EXPLORE on Ruth, Jeremiah and 1 Corinthians. This app is well made. The graphics & fonts are up to date and...well...cool. The navigation is straightforward even though there is a lot of content. This app is for both mature Christians and newbies. It has daily devotions that walk you through a passage of scripture, asks questions for application sake, and sometimes gives prompts for prayer. The scripture is also linked in the app so - everything is right as your fingertips! If you are discipling or meeting with new Christian or unbeliever this app could be very useful! First it has a button called 'getting started' that has 3 options to choose from. One is titled: How to spend time with God. The content is exactly what someone new to the Bible or the idea of devotion time needs! In addition, the devotions have a theological theme (God is unchanging, God speaks through the scripture, etc...) and is God centered. This is edifying to anyone who desires to deepen their knowledge of, and love for Christ!!! One thing I would like to see updated is the menu at the bottom of the app...the one that lets you toggle between today, previous, next, and bookmark. This menu is a bit unpredictable. I can't figure out how to intentionally make it appear when I want it. Other than that simple issue - this app is fantastic and has many uses!! ---a pastor's wife, Omaha

I am LOVING this app!!! I've never written an app review, but I've also never had an app that changed my life like this one has. I've always struggled with reading the Word. I had the desire but just couldn't keep disciplined. This app has made the Word come alive for me. I love the comments/questions that serve to lead me through my quiet time. And it's a reasonable length where I don't feel overwhelmed or like I need to rush so I can get to my errands for the day. It is helping me to put God first, where He should always be. Thank you!!!

This is the first time I have written a review for an app, but I have to highly recommend this one. The devotionals are on the left side of the page and the Scriptures are shown on the right hand side as they are accessed during the reading. I have been using this for several weeks now, and every day has wonderful, thought provoking insights and questions. Not just feel good thoughts, but life changing perspectives. Thank you for a great daily "feeding".

I love being able to go through studies from great teachers like Tim Keller and Tim Chester of different books of the bible. This is a very attractive and easy to use app. Two minor issues: I wish there were a "night mode" that had white text on a black background, as the white background can be really hard on the eyes early in the morning (even with the new iOS "night shift" feature) Some of the studies auto-progress at weekly intervals instead of daily intervals and it's not always clear which is which before you purchase a study. This makes it challenging to find the next daily study. But this has only affected one title I've encountered.

I love this app! My life has began to stray form the truth, so I downloaded this app, and it turned it around. I can now get my daily bread for each day in a deep devotion that is easy to follow along with and understand. Thank you Explore for giving me a second chance at my relationship with God (thanks to you too God).
