eQuoo: Emotional Fitness Game

I downloaded this app only a couple of days ago after I heard friends speaking about it. It already changed my behavior.. I’m way more conscious. I first think about the things I say and the potential consequences. I try to put myself into my partners shoes. For me, this app helps learning more about empathy and, as a result, it makes me understand people behaviors better. I feel better and more confident and most important: the app is fun. Love the design

I’m an MFT and a former teacher. I like what you guys are doing, I have a couple of clients I can imagine recommending this app to. I do have two small criticisms. 1) I caught several grammatically and spelling errors. You guys should do more proofreading or pay someone to do it for you. 2)I don’t always agree with the “right answers” to the comment questions. For example, one of the correct answers that I came across involved telling another person that something they believed was all in his head. I constantly counsel clients away from the phrase “all in my head” because it’s dismissive and invalidating of their own feelings, and perpetuates the myth that feelings are not to be listened.

I thought it was very creative, and it can provide as a good distraction when dealing with a crisis or when distressed. I might keep it around. It was engaging enough. I love the stories at the end but one thing that I think can be improved is greater variety in what to say. It was assumed on the game that because I didn’t say that “good people do bad things”, that I’m assuming all people are bad. But, the truth is that as a Christian I don’t believe anyone is “good”, though I choose to see the best in people. But the gist of the game, it’s concepts, etc. I must say are amazing and helped me a lot!

At first I was liking the game ok. Even though after the first story it surprised me that I was being tested on my own personality traits... when I was really answering according to what I thought was the “right” thing to say. Not actually what I would say. Then I got to story 2. Loved the story line. But now realizing my personality type was being tested I started to answer more honestly as to what I would actually do. Well I made it past level 3 but was 1000 coins from being able to proceed. And now will have to redo the tests because my personality type isn’t good enough to be successful in life? Is this the analogy? So to say-there’s better personality types than others?

This has great information and would be great for anyone who’s interested in role playing games. However, it seems best for someone younger than myself(47). I found the stories very juvenile and unappealing. I may pass this on to my tween and teenagers. Also, it gets annoying when the option to share to Facebook pops up after completing every task. This is just my opinion and it was not for me. Others may like it though.
