Absolutely brilliant alternative to the book, I use the app all the time and have gotten so much more use out of the app than the book. In saying that, there is a lot that could be improved and I could spend all day with the developers giving user-experience suggestions. It would be great to turn off the vouchers once they’ve been used. Also you often don’t know what ‘category’ you’re looking for so just leave them all on - this could definitely be easier (maybe dollar symbols for cheap takeaway vs fine dining?).

The map loads slowly and inefficiently because they're seemingly loading all points even on a zoomed out map. The Google map doesn't even support the two finger zoom out. Then if you switch the phone off (not shut it down) or just switch to another app and bring it back forward the Entertainment app reloads the map. What a clumsy way to implement. The developers tried to be fancy be creating their own styling, but at the cost of speed and snappiness. The app feels clumsy and inefficient. Lots of tapping to get information that could've been delivered better. The development was probably outsourced with little vendor management. Rather than setting up Entertainment Book's own review system, the app would've also benefited from an integration with Yelp and others. People rate chain businesses in the Entertainment app because they don't have the ability to rate local shops. The Entertainment Book app even says "read member reviews" when in fact all you see is a rating. A bit more care and knowledge of native iOS development would've done this app well. Invest more in your digital space and you'll get much better returns.

Most recent update of website/app has rendered the MyBookings site map unusable on an iPhone. Appears to have been no user acceptance testing completed - suggest an urgent review is needed to restore functionality. Display the map, move to the area you want and user cannot select the ‘H’ symbol to see what hotel is showing - but you can see all manner of other unnecessary linked info on Google maps around the hotel icon. Why??? Tried to submit this via app support but your website would not function and allow me to on my iPhone - could not select the enquiry type, and tried one other feedback avenue and got redirected to the annoying homepage with the sales-pitch popup window - I’m a signed-in member, that should not happen!!! Urgent attention required please!!!

Absolutely rubbish. I didn’t end up using this a single time. I bought the digital version thinking it would be more convenient for updating, finding local places and transacting, tried using it soon after purchase and the function to apply the discount wouldn’t recognise the location. The app kept logging me out, it was inconvenient having to reset my password each time. There was supposed to be a linked account to get other discounts too, took ages to get the supposedly automated link connected and then it still didn’t recognise my account. The choice of suitable participating venues out my way was really limited, too, a seperate issue I know, but combined with the app and general failure to deliver, this was not a venture I ever want to give money to again!

Absolutely love it!!! Only used 22 offers so far but saved over $400, great app if you eat out a lot or have little ones coz they have lots of activities for kids on this app. I suggested this app to all the mums around me. It has some kinda bugs re technology issues though, eg. after upgrading every how often, they don’t include all new offers in the “new offers” icon, you still need to go through everything to find new offers, etc. I’m sure the developers can fix the problems such as this. 5 star rated!
