Emma - Budget Planner Tracker

Emma has helped me be smarter with money and ultimately help me with achieving goals which before seemed really daunting and in some instances unachievable. The app is so well presented and intuitive it really helped me dial down into my finances and get a better understanding of my spending habits, and allow me to keep on track with budgets and spending habits, all of which is controlled inside the app. Through doing this, i was able to monitor my spending, get notifications when i was doing well or spending too much, and this all led to me be able to make a massive step forward in my life and me and my partner were able to save enough for a deposit and we’re able to buy our first house. This is all down the the functionality and features that emma has inside the app, and without this i think it would have taken so much longer that what it did when using emma Thank you emma team, you really helped me better my life through using this app! 😊

Connected to my Monzo account using the recently released API feature - seamless connection WITHOUT SHARING BANKING CREDENTIALS! and updates are accurate, speedy and so far trouble free which is brill 😊 There’s a few things I’d like to see tweaked a little (e.g the Analytics seem to be presented back to front) but considering this is a very new app it is already quite polished and appears to have an eager support team to keep improving it. The API integration alone is so simple and effortless (from an end user & developer perspective) it takes the pain and worry of sharing your credentials and also for the developers in saving & securing them (or trusting a 3rd party to do it) This alone is worth the 5 stars and allows you the user to simply focus on getting the best (or worst😲💰) out of the reports and filters to empower you to improve your own finances.

If you’re worried about your details then don’t. This is the first and only FCA approved budgeting app presently which works with the Open Banking API’s , this doesn’t send your secure details over and over again. Yes there’s room for improvement , e.g choosing when the budgets reset and custom tags. However their support is fully aware of these requests and these are currently in progress. If you have any ideas open a support box and the main guy himself will likely chat to you! That’s how good it is! Anyway, the interface is incredible, so smooth and slick. Considering how new this app is, it’s really good for managing your banking. Give it a try! I’ve been a holder of MoneyDashboard for ages and finally made the jump to this!

Emma makes budgeting a lot easier, once you have your accounts synced it’s so much easier to track how much you’re saving and what you’re spending on different categories (Shopping, groceries, eating out etc.) not only can you see this on an easy displayed format, rather than visiting individual bank apps. You can set budgets and It tracks trends in spending, warning you when you may be drifting from your budget in certain areas. Not only does it warn you if you’re having a spending ‘cheat day’, It also lets you know when you’re doing a good job saving! Very handy tool and opens your eyes to your habits that you might not have been aware of.

This app is absolutely incredible. It’s simple to use, beautifully designed and has loads of premium features. It’s also quite incredible this app is free. I have download a whole host of financial budgeting apps from the App Store and this is by far the best. I love how simple it is to use and that you get the same premium features as you do with the subscription based apps. I also love how my monthly budgets and spending statistics are based on my pay day and not the calendar month; none of the other apps seem to do this. It’s strange this amazing app hasn’t had more exposure as it’s far superior to what else is out there!
